About the 8?

Even before this accident I would guess Owen's Super League career was over. Things have moved on a bit in the backs since his injury and he really would stick out like a slow moving sore thumb along side Johnstone, Jowitt, Lyne, BJB and possibly that new guy from Salford. A bit like Bill Tupou really.

Heard very concerning rumours also regarding 8 players in the fall out from this situation. Worryingly I've heard the same story from 2 different sources 1 with strong links to the club.

The club needs to show very strong leadership now. Clearly the culture of the club is in question/needs investigating after this incident.

Most importantly I wish the 3 lads involved a speedy recovery and despite rumours saying otherwise hope to see them again on a pro rugby field.

I think we might get some clues as to whether other players are involved when the squad to play Cas is announced this afternoon.

I have also heard that there were "several" players who were involved not directly with the crash but with circumstances surrounding it but had dismissed it until seeing this????

Well I for one haven't got a clue what all this 8 rumour is. All I know is the players were at a BBQ in the afternoon then there was a car crash. If anyone is kind enough to pm me with any further conjecture it is appreciated.

It's all looking pretty murky tbh. On other sites there are alleged photo's of the crash, I've not bothered looking as it all seems a little tawdry. Wonder if the truth will ever come out as in the other case last year?

At the moment three players for our club have career threatening injuries caused by a car accident. Unless some real facts come out to say otherwise, lets be a little more supportive and a lot more respectful of those players and the trauma they are going through.

Oddly I believe he's nearly 60 I'm told but acts and rants like a five rear old - a visit to his GP is my advice as it adds up to one thing IMHO

Watch CC interview on Radio Yorkshire website where he is asked about Annakin & other two. He said Annakin alright but will make no further comment due to the police investigation at this time.

Am I reading too much into this, he says Annakin is "alright" is he suggesting the other two aren't?
