I'm no tough guy and he did see my face, I thanked him for his efforts at the club looked in his eye and said good riddance, at which point he got miffed and gave me some verbal littered with foul language even though he was surrounded by kids. I backed that lad when nobody was giving him a chance, I was wrong, as far as I'm concerned his attitude at the back end of his last year stunk to high heaven. Can't think of any other ex player whose attitude is as bad.

Not sure why people have a problem with what inside man did. Clearly he felt let down by Griffin, and he did what some people seem to demand in saying it to his face.

Not sure what was to be gained for anyone involved though.

He chose the audience when he elected to become a professional sportsman.

And Griffin felt the same about him, I love the way some fans think they can say what the hell they want - well they can't - it's playground from both of them.

Fans can say what the hell they want, so long as it's not litigious. I don't think you'll find anyone saying that it wasn't childish on both their parts though. As fans we pay our money, and just as we have the right to cheer we surely have the right to moan.

Recent history at Wakefield also suggest that fans should scrutinise decisions that are taken by the club at every stage, we've had 30 odd years of lurching from one avoidable disaster to the next. However I hope that people can challenge and question with manners and dignity.

But what you are attempting to defend by masking it as moaning is in fact abuse.

If we are going to get all "litigious" about it then Griffin is first and foremost a citizen of the UK and subject to it's laws. In this country you cannot abuse people with impunity, not even at RL match - BV is not Nania and the real world very much holds sway. Although Inside mans comments were more childish than abusive that is not always the case and in the past Griffin has taken some horrendous and absolutely uncalled for ABUSE end of. Usually from people who have achieved nothing like he has and have probably given far less to WTRLFC. That being the case I honestly can't understand why people like you seem so shocked he reacts and then indulge in the most one sided criticism you can imagine.

I can't make folk like Griffin, I don't know if I like him myself because like 99% on here I've never met him. But what I do know is no RL player deserves what he gets, only criminals should get that level of abuse.

I've said it before and I'll keep saying it, many of the anti Griffin posters on here should know better and be ashamed of their past actions. I'm ashamed as a Wakey fan of what he has endured from what is basically bullying from a mob.

And he chose to use foul language in front of them, I did not abuse him, i said good riddance, im sure he felt the same about leaving, i said my piece and i am quite happy to receive some back but not in the manner in which he did this. This latest incident only shows what type of character he has.

I don't condone abuse, I do however think inside man had the right to express his feelings. Like you I don't know Griffin, but his actions both on and near the rugby field in and out of Wakefield Trinity colours do nothing to counter my instinct that I wouldn't like him should we meet.

I do take your point though, and it's a very good one, and it should be applied to Wakefield Trinity players past and present and just as some may see it as harsh that people dislike Griffin, we should also exercise caution when canonising our on-field heroes. Most of them are ordinary blokes, with the same kind of flaws that the rest of us have.

I don't disagree that he showed himself up but surely you can see that saying good ridence to someone is quite insulting, especially in front of other people. No one would just smile and walk away.
