Really pleased for the guy, he's had plenty of detractors at Hull and here when he first took over at Trinity and unbelievably there's some still at it but he's taken our mob and turned them into a real solid competitive side.

He's gone for the job with the blessing of AG and Elston, so it obviously isn't going to interfere with what he does here and if anything it will make him a even better coach, so best of luck to him, he deserves it.

long gone are public announcements via the club as social media seems to be the place where you will hear it first, hence why the club has embraced both facebook and twitter.
I can understand your concern that the club hasn't informed us via either but there's always going to be one that just can't hold his water.

so lets evaluate what we have.

a coach that had struggled to get Hull fc back in the top 8 is given the opportunity here. not every ones choice and probably not mine too has taken the club back up the league,
his end to last season was a breath of fresh air but don't kid your self if other clubs wasn't keeping an eye out to what he has managed with.
early days for his season so far and from what I can read between the lines is the clubs still got that feel good factor that we ended up with last year.

the only way we can keep hold of decent assets is of course money in which we know were not loaded as a club, so if someone comes a long with a deal that is irresistible there won't be any way we would be able to keep them coach or player.

I must admit I didn't like the idea of him applying for the Catalan job but then that's just hear say and again like vasty said if he wants to apply then again its nothing to do with us. now I may seem hypercritical as I was on Kears case when he did apply for that job, but then he hasn't promised to walk us to the promised land like Kear did.



I'm happy enough that he is only taking on the role as part time but I do hope he makes sure we don't falter while he does so. we just have to see what the season brings.

This can only be a positive thing for the club.
RA finally gets recognised for what he achieved with WTW last year on a limited budget with a brand new team, this has to be a better accolade than "Coach of the year" which he deserved last year, but it was given to a coach who's team under achieved whilst breaking the bank.

Great opportunity for Agar and it shouldn't impact on WTW as France don't have any games scheduled until after the season is finished. Any coach would love the chance to coach in a world cup and it should further develop him as a coach which can only be good for us
