Oh I see. That does make it slightly more understandable
Though it still doesn't resolve why JK said he was so terrible and then promptly signed him.

| Quote ="PopTart"hard to understand because you said this:
Why would JK talk to Peter Gentle about Danny Brough? They were all at three completely different times.
If Jk had talked to Agar, who got rid, or Agar had talked to PG about someone else.....or even if JK had talked to someone else called Peter about Agar it would have made sense.
What you wrote does not.'"
JK leaves Hull (not talking to anyone, peter or otherwise) - RA advises Peter SHARP when he takes over - RA allegedly tells PS to release DB

I missed the implied Agar talking in quotes when JK left. I get it now. As you were everybody. I've caught up.

| Quote ="jonh"Sam will move back to the halves this year at some point to allow us to rotate/rest players and give younger talent a chance. Sam has been a revelation at 1 though, to be fair you could play him anywhere and he would make an impact. Sam plays as a traditional 6 (ie second receiver acting as an extra half)
I am struggling to think of 1 top quality half prospect that is ready to step up.
Wigan have 2 young lads one a Wakefield lad who look the part, but they are both some way off first team rugby.
The 2 lads ahead of them who looked like world beaters at Academy level have struggled with first team rugby. Mellor looked top class but look anonymous at Widnes.
The next generation of British halves will come come from the ranks of the current 15's and 16's I see very few class prospects in the 18's and 20's in that position.
Gareth O'Brien at Wire looks as good as any who have made the recent step up and not looked out of his depth.
The way things are at the moment though anyone with the potential will get the chance as overseas recruits are less and less viable.'"
But that's the point - it's just an opinion even if it's educated opinion, there is nearly always an element of doubt - it's simply that Aussies get the benefit of the doubt. I reckon there is at least 1 young HB per team on the edge - of those 2/3 will fail but that still leaves 4-5 - whom they are is anyones guess. The problem is that is's all hypertheticals until they get a run.
Wildie did OK for when he actually played HB last year but he wasn't SL quality. However with that year under his belt and close season he was probably ready to move up a notch. What happens, his place is taken by a young NZ player who is no better IMHO. So instead of getting a second season under his belt he's shipped off to Batley, wonderful. I wish I could blame Agar but they are all at it. It's a total blindspot in our game, HB's takr time and without P&R we now have that and we are wasting it.
Sickens me to be honest.

| I'm amazed that NGBC has started a rumor that is currently onto it's sixth page!
I think Hudds have that many of our ex players that the inevitable is happening, they are starting to play like we did!

| Quote ="vastman"Don't know if there is any truth in this, but coming from you I seriously doubt it.
Can I ask why you are utterly obsessed with players who have left or are never coming. Why not use your energy to support the players we have instead of endlessly bitching about them. For you the grass always seems greener on the other side - hence some of the truly ludicrous statements you make.
This weekend we saw your latest love interest Sam Moa owned by Andy Raleigh, a converted SR who will soon be able to draw a pension.
Broughs best years are behind him and IMHO we got the best of them - I'm gratefull for that but now we need to move on and find the next Broughy.'"
Utter rubbish your personal attacks are just nastyness! Who have I bitched about this year John = totally justified we have won 3 in 3 now moron. Sykes great ! Trout needs work = TRUE ! Shame we lost Aron Murphy wasn't too bothered about George. Praised many players this year including smith and Ralleigh. Ralleigh was great sunday. Sam moa played well also. Shut up with your tyraids of RUBBISH !

| Would prefer us to resign Jeffries again than Brough!
There's two current players in the team who need signing up on longer deals ASAP and they are Smith & Aiton. They are the two real top class players we have and who we should be building around ready to go into our new stadium and the new exciting chapter the club is set to embark on.
There's plenty of other quality in there and loads of potential good young homegrown lads to bed in aswell.....Smith & Aiton are absolutely key for me though!!
