Don't know about everyone else but I am sick of hearing the same old posters whining on about the same tired old argument about denying our young players the chance to play in super league . For loves sake change the record, our youngsters got a chance last season and look where that got us. I want to see a trinity side compete week in week out and if that means signing oversees players than so be it. If you want to watch young and upcoming English players the championship is full of them. Let's become competitive first then integrate some youth a bit at a time. Change the record please.

In Aiton's terms it's probably half and half really, though must admit I was a bit surprised with how many games he has played in. Though my comment was also more general and not club / player specific.

It's all about balance - something that is rare on these forums. Youth is fine but it has to be good, it has to be ready and above all the first team needs to be a good first team.

Lat year we had virtually no first team so you're being a bit unfair. However it was woefully short of experience and power. That said we were lucky and unearthed a fair few players who may go on to make it. They were IMO Johnson, Amor, Marriano, Wildie, Morton and Davey in that order so not a bad haul. However that's enough for now, we nned them to continue to improve and a few others youngsters get a few chances but above all we need a team of Pro's which bar perhaps another prop we now have.

Ellis, Aiton and Wildie give us some guile, John some excitement and if his head is screwed on Smith gives us a bit of class. That is what we were missing last year.

I really hope Anakin, Trout and Walshaw make it but you just can't rush it as none of them are exceptional IMHO.

Now that's a new one to me?

You're talking rubbish, he's 26 so if he broke through at 21 and made his way up the ranks then that's about right. Looks like he did a full season last year.

That is not a reserve or a 50/50 that's first team end of.

Valid point, can't really see him being given the captaincy though. I do think it will be another one of the overseas signings that gets it though. If not then maybe mariano to get it, not through personal choice but just because he seems to be at the forefront of everything the club does recently in the media.

Well if you want to do hid latest seasons break down be my guest! FWIW I don't think he's a particularly bad signing given his age and bit of versatility. But your guy brought games into it and if think your signing a first team regular NRL 9 then it's not really the case is it.

And, if you click your heels together 3 times and say "we won't finish bottom," it will come true.
