Really? I was thinking it was maybe a case of AG's cash arriving too late to be used productively in a picked-over player market so it was decided not to spend so much of it. |

I personally believe that wakefield will finish higher in the table than cas, we seem to be recruiting well and signing players that will do a job for us.
Lets face it the new super duper cas signing was .............
Rangi's new contract!!! Nowt against the guy but there were a lot of cas fans dissapointed at it not being a new signing.
Cas are meant to have the planning in place funds etc so why hasnt the glasshoughten development been completed originally they were going to be in for the 2008 season. Unless im mistaken the ground is not even started to be built yet.
Wakefield on the other hand are developing belle vue till we know what is happening with the goverment review.
My point is why do cas fans think they are the only team in the wakefield district that deserve a place in superleague, bring up administration etc whenever they post on here that is in the past my friends lets look to the future.

Yes but at least if you've got him tied down for a few years you get something out of it. One year deals have their place, but as a general policy it means all you are is a shop window for the bigger clubs and a stepping stone for the better players. |

 i was pleased when you stayed up.
As for the teams your going to have to get some decent props in, hope your injury prone back row stays fit, be the first team to make tim smith a decent defender, get a a largely new team to gel quickly and pray you dont get many injuries to your back line to stand a chance of finishing above us. And you your going to have to do it with a coach that struggled to get above us with a much better squad than what you have now, and with a team that was much more settled than what you have now.

Works both ways, equally could save you being lumbered with a player that doesn't give you much in return (McGoldrick?)
Also the rewards for selling a player under contract are hardly generous, so if a bigger club wants said player, they can still have them, but the selling club will make little profit after factoring in the higher wages that go with a longer contract. |
