But he WOULD have been if he had applied the same stratergy as he did at the start of the seaseon. We would have all accepted losing IF we had (kear included) given EVERYTHING and played with our breaches s, not capitulated like we have done since our loss to cas. Also dont forget he has made some appauling team selections.

I disagree with that too. I don't think there was ever a chance of him staying beyond the end of this season.

I just think that the decision had been made before this season even started that he would be leaving when his contract was up, regardless of results.

I've supported Kear up until now, but that is shameful John, last thing the players and fans want to hear in our current situation.

The thing is he has been good for the club. He provided stability when it was needed and improved the structure of the club no end. Trinity have had some relatively good seasons under his stewardship. Things look crap now and it appears he has reached his shelf life at Wakefield so things are coming to a natural end.

He will do a good job for another lower end SL club.

I think we all know he will be leaving at the end of the season (if not before) I honestly cant see why he would announce this now? He shouldnt come out and say I'm at Wakefield forever but he shouldnt do this..
Anyway reguarding the players they all (ok most..) seem to be telling everybody they are going here there and everywhere next year so I doubt they will be bothered!!!!!

Its not the fact he is looking for another job, we know he has been doing that since last season, it is the fact he has decided 2 weeks before decision day to make a public announcment of his interest in the Cas job - a job which he isn't going to get either. The timing and nature of this announcement kicks the club whilst it is down IMO.

What a load of tosh. If the club want Kear offer him a contract. The club was heading for the rocks by mid 2010, you don't think Kear new that. Yet you somehow expect him to not look after his own interests. Finally you have been wanting him sacked for month yet you invoke the loyalty card now just because he's thrown his hat in the ring for the Cas job - a job he may not get but one he at least has the right to try for - as I say rank hypocrisy and exactly what I expected to see on here the moment I read the title.

It appears the love affair is over with JK and Trinity, i cant see he is doing anything wrong in this report, i dont see his announcement as a surprise, i think its come at a sensitive time, if you consider the 26th to be still in the balance.

Sorry but he should have kept his powder dry for now. Yes he's probably off and wants to look at his options but to come out and openly state you would like to join your clubs nearest rivals, the one that the club is up against for a licence, two weeks before the announcement, is i'm afraid pretty poor form. What he does behind the scenes is up to him but in public he should have kept his trap shut.

It'd be interesting to know what questions were actually asked in the interview before we judge his responses too harshly. I agree with you though that the diplomatic answer to any prodding about "what will you do if Wakefield don't get a franchise?" would be to say "wait and see what happens first".
