I believe Cooke will be going at the end of the season or when his contract runs out ? as HKR are looking to reduce their wage bill and I dont think Morgan rates him, plus I know for certain that last season he was dropped due to club policies that Morgan has in place at training. It has been quite apparant that HKR have not clicked this season at half back combination and one of them had to be dropped / move. So him being dropped is not such a major issue.

Kear has openly admitted his liking for the player and we know his ability to turn players around, i personally would not have him but in Kear we trust.

But i have heard it is Chev Walker they are trying to off load with Crusaders his likely destination, so the new Aussie import can fit in the cap.

I am sure that Morgan rates him otherwise why get involved in all that controversy and unwanted publicity when he came from FC and to pay him the wages he is allegedly on. I think we could spend all day speculating about what has gone off there and still be miles from the truth, the problem for us thats for those that dont want him here is how badly does JK want him.

Cooke certainly has plenty of issues that come with him. however, he can win you a game or two and we are crying out for a bit of direction when brough isnt on the field. had brough stayed on the field at saints i rkn we might have forged a draw out of that game but thats gone now...Cooke is a recognised goal kicker, he can play in the halves or at 13 and we havnt had a ball handling 13 for years!

In the short team, ie 'till the end of the season i think he would be a good option if we could get him on the right terms....and from where i sit, the terms seem to favor us at the moment....

* If Cooke has played his last game for KR he can sit the next several months out and struggle for a contract anywhere next season or he can move on
* If cooke comes to us and wants a career beyond september 2010 he HAS to pull his finger out and graft
* KR clearly want rid and may pay some of his wages if it means offloading him
* If we're taking his wages on we are in a stronger position to negociate on what % we pay in view of my last point.
* Kear has worked with cooke before and lets be honest, he has a nack of getting the best out of busted/wasted players with no ability....at least cooke does actually have ability.
* If cooke comes to us on an initial loan deal untill the end of the season, if its not working, we get rid, simple.

This is one of the few times in recent years where we have been the club in a position to dictate and get the deal that we want - so many times before we have been the club getting bullied and getting the poorer end of the deal.

Korki has allways been good for us. HEs been excellent since he come on loan. YOu were 1 of the doubters but as I remember I made a post titled korki a shrewd signing for KEar and once again Vastman I was correct. I cannot see a place for Cooke I agree with Al we havent seen his class for 3 years Morgan is a good coach and seems a nice guy obviously Cooke is a bad egg. Kear can't keep being a council worker and turning these bad eggs around.

Kear is nothing like a council worker he gets the job done right and first time!
