Are you being serious? It shouldn't have even been a penalty. Lomax didn't move, Godinet ran straight into him. Lomax isn't obliged to get out of his way.

I did think this was a very soft penalty but we were unable to profit from it.
Did this penalty lead to the disallowed try?
Lots of soft penalties and lots of missed penalties.
All people want is consistency, not, one team is bigger than another.
For what it's worth I thought we showed Saints too much respect for the team they put out, which indirectly could have lead to our downfall.

I've been told by you lot that the match commissioner has confirmed he did enter the refs changing room.
Unless you was in there, we don't know why or what was said.
Bored now. Saints won the game. Wakefield lost. The has to be a loser fortunately for us we got the win with a injury ravaged team.
I wish all all the best for rest of the season.

But do you think it is appropriate for a St Helens-based ref to go into a ref's dressing room at half-time to give him a dressing down?

Based on your 2nd half performance it will be touch and go.
Anyway, all the best with the relegation battle.

He's involved in the administration of referees. Would it be inappropriate for Richard Agar to go into the Wakefield dressing room whilst playing dewsbury? (I assume that's where he's from given a quick wiki)

Hook line and sinker
Being serious now. I don't really care what happened. We came for 2 points with a injury ravaged side and did the job.
I don't mind Wakefield and I like Agar as a coach. He's done a terrific job with the wildcats who IMO are very competitive side. I expect a tough game there with a full team never mind with a depleted team.
I honestly wish you all the best for the rest of the season. I was just having the Craic.
Good night.

| Three officials in the vicinity, and not one of them saw Kyle Amor swing a haymaker at Matt Ryan that laid him out?
Lomax awards himself a penalty by playing dead after running into Big Ali; as soon as the incident is put on report, he springs to his feet and appears to suffer no ill effects. Is he Wolverine?! Can the Saints physio lay on hands?!
That game has a stink hanging over it - even the Saints fans were too embarrassed to cheer.

| Well unlike some I was at the match today and saw a great first half of rugby between two closely matched teams.
We thought if the second half is half as good as the first then it'd be great value but it wasn't and that's not because Wakey lost as I had St.Helens winning by 20 before the match. There was the odd incident though that I thought the ref had missed when Riley was smashed around the head in the tackle by a St. Helens player think it was their '12'? To carry on playing for a further 3/4 mins was outrageous when it's a head injury. noticed it didn't happen with the St.Helens full back!
But the second half of rugby was completely ruined by an absolute inept performance by the referee who surely must be reviewed for being incompetent at this level? His style of refereeing the game was completely different second half.
Two of the 4/5 penalties given against WTW were extremely harsh at the play the ball 1. Anderson when Soliola dropped the ball as he stood up 2. Dan smith underneath a 4 man tackle of Masoe..Masoe laughed when he got the penalty.
This was exacerbated by the fact that Godinet got smashed by a St.Helens player off the ball and not picked up.
Then that punch by Amor on Ryan's chin in front of the sticks and bang in front of the referee to not have the backbone/bottle to send Amor off? I knew he would go for on report as it's the soft option....that was truly ridiculous. Wakey would have benefited rather than the future opposition against St.Helens when Amor gets a 2 game ban. It would have made the last 6/7 mins of the match a little more interesting also..
A blatant haymaker punch to the head of an opposition player should be a straight red card and nothing else...it's as simple as that....but not if you've been spoken to at half time by your boss in the changing rooms who happens to be a St.Helens fan eh? Nothing worse than that foul whiff of corruption in sport...

| Only thing not been confirmed is what was said in there and how it was said....
Now, I think it's a good bet there was raised voices in there and someone at the club has overheard.....I cannot see any other logical explanation how Agar would say what he did unless that was true....
That is where it has to become a problem and questions need to be answered.....
It was a decent, flowing game in the first half....a tight game both in play and on the scoreboard.....I thought personally we edged it and the scoreboard said so too......there was absolutely no controversy at all....hardly any questionable decisions either way....I honestly thought we came off marginally worst from the close 50/50 calls....
If Ganson went in shouting the odds over the way that half was refereed then what thoughts will have been going through Roby's head? Surely on how he was first half it must have played on his mind and the 2nd half was Definitely a different story....
What was said by Ganson surely has to be questioned, and answered why he felt the need to say anything at all...

| See this every week. Losing fans saying the refs/RFL are bent/corrupt, winning fans saying its rubbish. Problem I have is the so called top clubs (most fans) Wigan, Wire, Saints and Leeds get the rub of the green week in week out. Why is Ganson (affiliated with a team in St Helens thru a family member) anywhere near a Saints game? why is Bentham anywere near a Wire game? why was Alibert allowed to be video ref at Catalans vs Giants game? Came up with a shocking decision (didnt change result as best team won) Wakey were screwed against Bulls, Giants screwed against Leeds, I reckon the RFL need to take a long look at themselves and whats going on.

What about the try where the Bradford centre goes down but Kirmond holds him up and clearly doesn't get it down yet is awarded a try against us. Many decisions from video refs have been completely ridiculous.

| I can tolerate home town referees when on the pitch, because it is transparent. Everyone can see what is going on and form their own opinion. Dressing room interventions are, however, a whole different thing, and would have changed how Roby approached the second half, at a point when Ganson's team was losing.
The point is that it isn't transparent. All he had to do was tell the coaches, and perhaps even invite them in with him, so that the coaches can transmit how the second half will be reffed differently. Instead, Agar had to find out through rumours.
Ganson is clearly an idiot if he can't see how it would be perceived.

| It is a well know fact that Ganson is a St Helen's supporter, he wears St Helens shirts and has been known to travel on there supporters coach. I feel if he entered the ref room even if he said nothing he has put himself in an impossible position. He should not have done so, Secondly according to Radio Leeds after half time everything went St Helens way. Maybe by pure chance, but it does not look good for Mr Ganson. I do feel he should be considering his postion as should the RFL

| As I have said on the VT thread, I believe the main issue is that he was presumably at the game as a St's fan and not in an official capacity. This being the case there should have been no intervention at half time. He could have given Roby a dressing down after the game.
Sounds like Cas fans would have welcomed child's receiving a visit from his boss at ht but they weren't so lucky.

| I'm surprised Brown let Amor play. He LIVES in Wakefield. He REGULARLY passes the ground. His neighbour has a CAT. He plays in the forwards like Stephen WILD. There are 4 letters in his surname like AGAR. The RFL are a joke and a disgrace.
