The period for determination is 13 weeks from when the application is accepted as being complete. Thats providing there are no adverse comments from Statutory Consultees such as the Highways Agency etc. or any Green Belt issues.
From my experience I have never known a major application like this one determined in 13 weeks. My guess would be 6 months minimum and I think we will be lucky to get a consent by September. This should not be an issue if the Detailed Application for the Stadium is submitted within the next 3 - 4 months as it could be passed not long after the Outline Consent.

That was maily due to the fact that the Highways Agency objected and placed an Article 14 Notice on the Council which prevented them determining the application. It could not be considered until thier objection and the Article 14 Notice removed.

Before you do that you need one of the old advertising boards from the side of the pitch. Paint on the back of it that this is the site of the new wildcats stadium. Then stick it up on the site for a few years.
Even then you can't start because we need to open a stadium shop in The Ridings

| My contribution to the planning application on WMDC website;
The re-location of Wakefields sporting stadium to an area with such good transport links will greatly improve the quality of life in the Agbrigg area of the city, provides a much needed sporting / concert venue for the use of the wider community and the real prospect of attracting notable events to Wakefield (school sporting tournaments, amateur / semi pro events such as Northern Rail RL tournaments and headline bands). This, coupled with the large number of jobs created in the wider application will provide a welcome boost to Wakefields economy just as we come out of recession.

| In 4 weeks we will know the extent of our opposition anyway.
Ted should be sending his mob any day now to put the frighteners on the WCCG. If you've ever seen "Goodfella's" you'll know what I mean when i say the post won't make it home!
Ah nobody gets construction through like the mafia!

| I know this is slightly OT but with the RL World Cup in 2013 being held in England, imagine if the new stadium was done in time to host a game, possibly even England!!!

I have consulted my crystal ball but as far as I can see the only non trinity game at the new stadium in 2013 will be Cas against Fev in the Northern Rail final

| It's all well and good to laugh and joke, but games such as that could be a great money spinner for the community trust when we get this built. We should also be looking to push our facilities for use in the national league grand final.
Cas Vs Fev lol..... In truth Salford Vs Fev could be much closer, unless they get something done soon!

Apparently construction is to start very sooner for the Salford stadium. The council have put in £20m to finance the project. Tenders for construction have just gone out. Sounds promising for them.

| The planning software has been updated on the council website. You can now view the comments that are submitted in regards to the application. Follow the link on the SWAG website to access the new portal. Feel free to also add your comments to the SWAG message board.
The new planning portal version seems a little temperamental, it wasn’t working this afternoon, but it seems ok now. Annoyingly the associated documents link does not work so the plans of the site can not be viewed.

| Hi All
As KK mentioned Wakefield Council are in the process of putting in a new planning access portal over the next week or so and it should be fully functional by middle of next week.
Given this new facility of being able to post and now see comments on the proposal, I would suggest that a mod puts up a 'sticky' with the link to the portal, planning application number - 10/00225/OUT and encourage as many people as possible to post good positive comments in favour of the application.
PS. Thanks to The Clan for the info on Salford... it is now on my list of phone calls to be made this afternoon!

I may be wrong but I dont think Salford's proposed stadium has been submitted for planning yet. I thiink the works that are about to commence are the reclamation and decontamination works on the site at Barton which the Stadium will form part of.

Site plans, sections and floor plans now can now be downloaded. There a selection of the documents on the SWAG site too, just visit the downloads section.

| Excellent to see the plans. A long way to go I know, but it is starting to seem "real".
Something to note; the sides clearly show seating, but the ends appear to be standing!

That is correct. 3.5k seats either side = 7k; 2.5k standing either end = 5k. Total 12k. Plus the corners (more standing) = 15k.
Should suit all!

Standing at either end is a good move i.m.o.
Better atmosphere i would think at the big games and no one wanting to keep asking you to stand up so they can have a pee,pie or pint !
