Well yes, we get done nearly every time by a last tackle play!! If we get a penalty against us which takes the opposition into our half giving them a repeat set near our line we cannot stop them scoring, unless they knock on the opposition score nearly everytime! Its poor to watch..

well heres my take on it cant comment on yesterday. we were playing well throwing the ball about and winning games. so what happened well imo we got brough back, a morngy, selfish big baby who wants a ball to himself, who sulks slags all the players off and whos own form as been crap. people say hes class well where is it hardly scores hardly runs at the line his kicking games gone to pieces does he create anything with the ball. weve got atkins, martin, and pace on the wings they never get quality ball.

Before anybody starts I am not looking for a scapegoat but I am starting to think you have a very good point. We were in a similar situation last season then Danny boy came back maybe the time to cash in if there are any takers

its opinions and that is mine i think we change our style when he plays working more towards his kicks hence five drives and a kick. hes not my scapegoat as others arnt performing but id like to no how many games weve won and lost with him in the team since he came back to the club

Whilst not blaming anyone in particular, I do think the 'kick' has become our worst enemy. We get close to the opposition line and our players hang back waiting for it - rather than looking to take the line on with the ball in hand and produce 'option' runners to confuse the defence. This, IMO, makes us so much easier to defend against as the ball is easily followed and defences can compress because there is little chance that quality ball will reach the centres / wingers.

That's my only problem with Martin at stand-off. I've seen him take the kick option too often when close to the line when there were better running option. He did it at Cas and he did it against Wigan. The problem is that he does it too ponderously, so that the defence know what he's going to do, whereas Drew and Brough do it with more zip and unpredictability.

On Sunday when things weren't going our way with ball in hand (when we held on to the thing!) I feel we should have switched JD into a more central position/role as he was wasted in attack in the centres, our 3/4's just did not get enough (GOOD) ball. When we need a leader , go forward with ball in hand, JD is our talisman and on Sunday I feel that he was under- used in this respect. We needed the 'spark' a little earlier in the second half, however our attacking plays were that woefull I'm not sure that it would have made a difference.
JK has stated that he is bringing Frank W on slowly and letting him get used to our systems etc. I'm not sure why, because the opposition seem to work them out pretty quickly! All it needs is for some/one of our 'playmakers' to give him some good service or put him into half a gap - well I can dream can't I?
