After a pretty ropey weekend for the fans wondering if we'd even be able to scrabble a full squad together for this weekend, we've had the news that Lynn and Wood are cleared to play, Fifita has signed a long contract, and we've resigned MCB.

Great news for Wakefield and I think for the game in general. Gone are the days where so-called “big” clubs could cherry-pick the players they wanted from others.
Looking forward to seeing Watts and Fifita go up against each other on Thursday - in my opinion, they are the two best forwards in SL and playing for Cas and Wakefield rather than the likes of Wigan and Leeds.
Shame both squads are injury-hit at the moment, but fingers crossed we meet again with fully-fit teams later in the year, preferably in a final.

I know cas fans have had banter with him at games in recent years and visa versa but he's a great character and has shown himself to be way more than a decent impact prop. Never thought I'd see the day the big fella was doing 80 minute stints !

What a month or so....joint 3rd in the league...ground secured....unbelievable sponsorship deal which I see as huge but looks to have just slipped under the radar a bit...and now the form player in super league committing for the next 3 years when, lets be honest...he could have gone to any team in the league!
