The Hull fans have slagged Agar off for the squad that was left to gentle, yet gentle gets the plaudits for playing teh Acedmy players this season, ever thought they werent ready last year. No probably not thought so.

You cant have your cake and eat it. Next year is when Hull and gentle will be judged good luck because as an outsider there is nothing inspiring in the signings you have made comparec to the players leaving, your owner maybe splashing the cash but that is that the panacea.

To be honest with the money you now have to spend, your support base and facilities fourth should be the minimum requirement. As i've stated earlier i'm not sure the signings you have made up to press are necessarily good enough to kick you on another level just yet. If you had got another brusier up front to replace Moa (Johnson is far from that kind of player), managed to hold on to Manu to play with Ellis and snared Chase then challenging the Wigans, Warringtons and Saints of the league was possible. As it is with the rumours of the halfback back-up plan being an young unproven aussie i'm not sure that this year will be the breakthrough one. Think you may need another year of top level recruitment before that will be the case. I guess its a case of one step at a time but the way your chairman was talking regarding signings he seems the impatient type!

Cant argue with what you have said, I would be happy to finish in the top 4 next year and I don't think we will be far off, still a bit behind Warrington and wigan, but not far off the others IMO.

Maybe we're all just bitter that the only club that has ever got fined for this was ours for approaching Jason Robinson. Lots of other clubs have done it but as yet nobody else (that I'm aware of) has ever had a fine.

Agar played players out of position rather than bring the youngsters. We have players in the Academy that never even got a whiff of the first team, with Agar shuffling his depleted team week on week, but lets not have facts get in the way.

Agar was first team coach only by name at FC, someone pulled the strings for him.

He's been told what he needs to do at Wakey and he's trying to do it, stop blaming Agar for everything its boring.

I feel the major difference between gentle and agar is when agar got injuries he chose to shuffle the team/positions around,gentle has brought the youngsters in,but when a few players returned he dropped the youngsters back down,crooks being the best example.Not sure which is the best way.!

I'm not twisting your post, Agar for whatever reason, did not give the youngsters a chance. Week after week we were left scratching our heads why he would play players out of position instead of bringing in the youngsters when needed.

Yeah that's right, develop and use the junior talent at Wakey, he won't have one hand tied behind his back and he will be judged on it.

We all know why Agar didn't pick youngsters last season was more due to two other employees working their that are no longer at the club telling him what to do and even FC fans have even suggested this. As for Gentle picking young players this season it's more down to injuries than anything else. Back on topic FC have broke rules and probably been caught for it for the good of the game this needs nipping in the bud and they should be punished accordingly.

If you are referring to Johnson no not by a mile a good prop end of season but seem to have his mind elsewhere for first part of season. Will be interesting to see how he fits in your squad as he had a good stint of first team of late. If you intend in using him when you have injuries or he's constantly on bench he could regret leaving as things like this can do more damage for a career than good.

Yes, I thought he stood out last year admittedly in a poor side but with others in front of him in the pecking order this year he hasn't been as effective as I though he'd be.

I'd have probably have kept him and the club obviously thought the same but it's not as if he isn't replaceable if Hull offered him more money.
