Cracking performance, just when we needed it - well done to all the lads.

Particularly gratifying to see some of the out of form players do better; JD had a good game, Cooke looked interested and even Gleeson did well.

It was Quins though, and they were pretty awful; here's hoping we can carry the momentum into the next two, very tough, games. A win against Whino's at home would be just what the Dr ordered!

You missed a good game, players showing confidence in each other and backing up teamates, after the last few games i reckon "they and we" deserved this victory.

The players reaction to conceding a last minute try tells me all is well at BV.

However i wont change my opinion on Kear based on one performance,lets just see what the level of performance is like for the next few games.Im not asking for wins(although would be nice),but want to see whether the same level of performance sustained.If that happens i will happily re consider my opinion of JK.

So the only coach to have a better than 50:50 win ratio - over a 4+ year period - still needs to perform for the next few games to win your approval???

JK works miracles with what we have available - he doesn't always get everything right, but he gets far more right than any other coach we could have at BV.

Translate - I simply can't admit I was wrong. I made some foolish assumptions about a player I'd seen play no more than 3-4 times (one a friendly) in a Trinity shirt and decided he wasn't a patch on Stosic, a player suddenly given legendary status.

Now that King has proved at least IMO vastly the superior player based over a similar number of games I will blame Vastman and not myself for getting it wrong.

No Bloomers I don't have superior knowledge I just give people a chance. I based my opinion on King as a recruit based on his playing ability as shown for many seasons at Hull. I said he was a good replacement given the time and money we had. I never claimed he would be great just that he was the best available prop. As it happens he has found his form as a player and IMO is our best buy of the season. Just as well Kear and fans like myself give players a chance to settle. Bad Vastman.

There is a lesson here but I'm sure it's wasted.

Wasnt really a case of giving him my approval.I have the utmost respect for what Kear has done for our club.But feel this season his coaching methods appear to have stagnated and our on field performances were going backwards.I didnt base my opinions of wanting him replaced based on one game and i wont change that opinion based on one game.
Yesterdays performance was good,very good and i really do hope Kear can maintain that level of performance.

Our kicking game is still suffering but that is to be expected. Thought OBst was outstanding when he saved that definite try he had a great all game he is still not the answer for our kicking though. Our forwrds were unreal yesterday King was unbelievable. Cooke hope hes getting more trim which he looks made some great passes but this was off the back of our forwards been outstanding. Kirmond showing real effort every week for a loan player. Demetriou rolled back the years!!! We needed a win and a performance like that to give us a bit of optimism. We played the ball quick and ran hard and worked as a team quins had no answer to this.

For christ sake it's nothing to do with his coaching methods, which are basic and simple. It's to do with the total disruption of the team he originally put together to compete in SL this season. Why is that so difficult to accept.

He has lost two vital pivot players in Newton and Brough, lost a prop who was winning us games, lost his other performing H/B for long periods and then lost his two other overseas imports for long periods.

Please tell me what coach could do better suffering catastrophic losses like that. This is were you and the Mopseys fall down. Who is this wonder coach who can take what is left of the Trinity squad and have won the last five games. Go on tell me please I'd love to know.

The fact that we nearly beat Leeds and finally hammered an in form Quins is a testament to the man.

Yes it's been bl**dy dull to watch and Cookes initial performances have been cringeworthy. Don't you think Kear knows that. He could sulk and say the rugby would be great if I hadn't been robbed of talents like Brough and Newton. He didn't, he accepted it, worked with what he had left and bingo.

It's going to be a hard season and our squad is a bit threadbare, but we may still be in the mix come August and that's all we really need.

Give the man a break.

My issues with Kear have been about standard of performance - not winning or losing.

Fair enough, so how do you get a high quality game when most of your high quality players are not available. Love Hedo and co to bit's but they won't create great RL, it's not there job. It's like asking Vidal Sasoon to cut your hair with a bread knife, you just won't get a quality result to start with but eventually Vidal will make it work and so will Kear.

Not much Vidal could do with Kears hair, oh the irony.

Who on here is suggestion anything else, I'd call it stating the bl**ding obvious then claiming you have discovered the theory of relativity. Just because people enjoyed a good game in good weather with a great result doesn't rob them of there senses. That is the classic mistake you self appointed realists make.

Really enjoyed yesterday and although a 'lesser' team its just what we needed to push on and was considerably better than the scrappy win that JK was hoping for to reverse the recent trend.

I was really happy that Cooke came more into it, the forwards as has been noted were outstanind and JD created some good stuff. By the way did anyone hear JD's response to the bloke in the crowd who asked why he did not pass to George for what looked like a good try opportunity?
