I'm always a bit sceptical about these weather warnings , especially in Wakey as we don't really get that much snow compared to others - but it's white over & snowing about 1/2 a mile from BV already , so hope it doesn't carry on .

Full on blizzards in LS6 and the Road news isnt good either!!

Can't see tonight's match going ahead to be honest. Best bet really is to stay indoors nice and warm and wait for the inevitable postponed announcement. If game is on, it will have to be layers by the plentiful.

Anybody know what time pitch inspection, decision about match is likely to be due? Thanks.

The pitch will be fine, just needs to be cleared. It's everything else that may be problematic

The pitch is the easy part. You then have to clear the terraces so it can fit the amount of people in you've already sold tickets for. On tip of that, the pathways around the stadium need to be safe too. It's a hellof a lot of work to be done in the next 7 hours before the ground opens.

As it is, it looks like we got lucky with the snow. The heaviest stuff has gone west of us.

Thank goodness for that, Hudds is horrendous, would have been a real job getting there. Should have eased a fair bit by Sunday, good news, for me anyway.

Still trying to sell the game also but what about refunds for them what can't make Sunday there is no mention of that.

Quite surprised they made the call so early, would have expected them to wait until mid afternoon and see how things went.

I agree it did seem early but they have called it right by the looks of it.

The snows started coming down pretty heavy over in West Leeds and looking at the radar it will be around for a while. It was the right call. There was far too much work to do in the space of 7 hours to make sure everything was clear.
