I suspect the pitch may have improved very little and we may be in for another war of attrition in the mud. At least this time the players will be fully aware what is expected and hopefully we also adapt our tactics.

Apart from today light rain if any at all. Quite breezy which should help.

It has, pretty much, but I dont think it has been as bad as the other week. The temperature has also climbed a bit, since, too.

Whilst I think it will cut up, dont think it will be as bad.

On the Women's cup game video, posted by Phantom, the pitch looks in reasonable nick to me.

Two reasonably dry and breezy days Saturday and Sunday near to POR so it did look promising yesterday but peeing it down all morning today. The forecast is worsening rain every day right up to, and including, Fridays kick off time.
Another war of attrition coming up.

If conditions are not the best then I hope Powell picks a more forward oriented bench, nothing against Noah Booth but having him in the bench in those conditions was a waste of a spot.

TBF I didn’t he had a choice there was no one else at that point.

Weather isn't the issue.
It's about how we play.

We need powerful runs to get off our line and more aggressive in defense to peg them back.

Exactly and IF we do that and cut out stupid penalties we will win.

Fev went well v Leigh in the cup and were excellent for 50/60 mins.
They have some big forwards and playing in the mud on their pitch, will be a tough ask.

No surprises this time, we know what to expect.

They will kick long and try to peg us down the bottom of the slope and we need to do the same but, better.

Yei might not play anyway, he looked visibly unfit with his knee heavily strapped at Leigh (injury occurred about 8 months ago) and presumably only played at Leigh because we had nobody else fit.

Lacans is almost certainly out as it looked a bad ankle injury. Massey and Bussey are very unlikely to be back this week, Kamano I'm not sure about, there's a chance that Tanner might be risked but he's only played 20 minutes this year so we might need a couple of DR additions to field 17.

That new half back looked pretty good though so Lacans probably won’t be missed.

A lot will depend on the pitch. Could be a similar game if it keeps banging it down all week and pre game. Hopefully it doesn’t and we can see some free flowing rugby from both teams.

Turner did have a couple of good moments and he's going to be interesting to watch but he's been signed as Ben Reynolds' replacement, not Lacans'. It means Harry Bowes will have to keep playing half back, unless we switch Aekins, and neither of those is ideal.Lacans has been our goal kicker too since Reynolds left and I'm pretty sure Turner isn't a goal kicker.

As for the pitch, I hope it doesn't rain too much too, we played some nice stuff at times at Leigh and yes it would be nice to see some free-flowing rugby.

Do we have any idea how many we have sold for Friday?

Probably hard to say as tickets are available directly from the Fev website too but we are going into the Trin shop for ours in the morning, so I'll ask how many we've sold

Hi, Fev fan here. There is a portacabin in the club car park where you should be able to buy a ticket. If you want to be with the rest of the Wakey fans you need to ask for the Ward Hygiene Stand (or also known as the 70 metre stand). BTW there are no concessions. Enjoy the game..........but not too much!

Fev have a ticket office at the ground, our club shop also has some in I believe if you can get there before Friday.

Edit - it’s card only at fev as well, I believe. No cash
