| To be honest, if I had the money I'd do the West terrace and make that the covered area for the home fans and let the away fans go north.
It's a much better view from the side.

| Dont worry about the developement of the ground the Ellis's do that very well if you saw any of their structures u would understand they will do it very well and quickly.
Think its time for us all to pinch ourselves and be thankful we have an owner who is a genuine fan. Matt will take this club forward best he can and having known him for many years now I will say hes on another level from any owners of rugby league clubs I know, its not the money its the brain and the drive he has. He may make a few mistakes early on but he will learn very quickly and formulate a plan to get this club back to where it belongs, hold on tight its going to be a fun ride.

Bearing in mind how quick the season tickets have sold, and hopefully if we can bounce straight back up, we may have to consider all avenues of increasing capacity.
Not sure how much the capacity would increase by

Sorry, don't agree.
Home fans should be behind the sticks - we moan on here when we go to away grounds and get a view from the side!!
If home fans want to stand on the Western Terrace, fine and crack on but not for me thanks...

I don't know any other team that puts away fans down the side.
The better view of the whole pitch is down the side, which is why the posh seats are always there......in every sport.
But I guess it's personal choice.

Used to enjoy changing/exchanging ends with the away fans back in the day. Once we became three sided that tradition ended and the South end of the Western Terrace became the best place to be for one half of the game. Considered returning there next year but my friends now prefer the North Stand, so it will be there until we degenerate sufficiently to require seating.

I agree on this.
After 40+ years in the North Stand I have got my season ticket in the new east stand.
I do think the armosphere in the north stand is good, and I wouldnt want us to lose that though now.
Maybe in time though, who knows, we may need to utilise all four sides to accommodate supporters

Likewise. I've moved from the South Stand (yes, there was one) to the North Stand but I've finally decided to sit down and with the new East Stand it seems to be a good time. Will miss the North Stand.

Really? Warrington is standing behind posts when I went.
Sts I always sit down at side so can't remember.
Obviously if you sit in the posh seats it's down the side though.

| I think people mean North Terrace when talking about more than 10 years. How old is the roof? 10 years?

| We used to stand on the West Terrace when the North stand was for the away fans but for the pre-season friendlies against Fev, Fax and Hull last year, when they were re-building the North Stand, we stood in our old spot on the West Terrace (just below the tea hut) and were surprised how little you could actually see when play was down in the South-West corner...I'm 6ft 3" and even I struggled, but the wife is only 5ft 1" and said she couldn't see anything once play went into the Southern half of the pitch !!
I get that those in the new East stand will be seated higher up, so this will not be a problem, but we are quite happy with our view from the North stand for the time being

| But really that's my point FIL.
We have put the effort into making the North stand better, for lots of good reasons.
But if the Western Terrace was as steep as the north stand, it would be a great view.
Also, I used to stand where you describe in the corner for a few years. We probably bumped into each other.

| Wire and FC have had us in a corner in recent games and Salford quite often put us in the stand opposite the main stand.
PT is right though, the "best seats" are usually on the halfway line, which ever sport.
Although the kop at Liverpool is behind the goals

She will have had a better season than the rest of us last year.
Not being able to see would have been a bonus !
Hopefully not this coming season though

1895 cup may not be an issue, because our league one opponent will be away and its also possible we could be away when we play our champioship opponent.
Challenge cup games have always been pay per game.
However it would be nice if season ticket holders got some sort of benefit when buying their cup game tickets. Nevertheless , i will happily cough up and pay for all cup games to support all the great work done by Matt Ellis

| Looking at the available season tickets in the Fox stand it looks like we haven’t even half filled it yet.
I would probably say we are at our limit in terms of current support or close and the challenge is bringing in that new support. It will mostly be done by winning I feel.
I wonder if there’s a plan to fill the other half of the Fox stand. Such a shame if it is half empty most games.

ST don't normally make up even half the crowd. They'll be a lot more people sitting in the Neil Fox Stand on match day.

Don't think this is an accurate observation as section D is reserved for directors and hospitality (which will be mostly full through the season) and section G is reserved for away fans (which will have varied population) I think the rest has more than 50% of the seats reserved (but the map seems to fluctuate daily)
I agree that certain games and events will attract more and some will not... Its up to the club now to create full event days around matches which will attract people .
