Injuries are part and parcel of the game , we could blow our budget on a world class half only for an ACL to curtail his season in the first minutes of his first game, so I’m sure Willie will. We are trying to bring in Shaul so the thinking behind Gale could be to run with Lino,Gale and Jowitt and Shaul/Jowitt.Like a lot of comments my preference would be for a younger up and coming player from NRL for HB if possible, but easier said than done.Definitely no Lawrence,Bristoe or Williams!

You say no to the likes of Williams, Briscoe and Lawrence, but realistically we can't sign 9/10 superstars, nor can we afford to.

Unfortunately we won't attract the highest calibre of players either.

All the above have experience which is what we will need.

Briscoe has been shocking for quite some time now. His brother is better and is championship level.

Lawrence on the fence but experienced front rower and could be a good for the team with DF gone and young Shaw and Eseh coming through.

No idea who Williams is but the other we have been linked to is Taylor and that would be a yes for me back rower bags of experience very successful in the NRL.

Briscoe. Why would we want him? Taufua, Kershaw, Murphy, Evans, Kaye. All have more interest in five minutes of a game than Briscoe in 80. An absolute waster. Unless someone is\ are leaving as part of a swap. Hopefully not another 4 for 2 with Leeds.

Why do people believe these gossip sheets? Every year we have this and 95% of the time they are wrong.

The club at the moment is as tight as a drum. It's all gossip, and as ever might be right, but probably isn't.

I believe Lawrence is primarily a 13 and so is Taylor.

Williams will likely be Sam Williams.

23 year old 9 from bulls. Played 20+ games last 2 seasons for them. I’m glad we are looking at promising youngish players in the championship.

Thought the same, he was close to signing for this season before the deadline but we couldn't get it over the line. Apparently there were a few clubs after him so must be promising.

Forgot about Sam Williams. Not a massive fan tbh but he's still decent and has more NRL experience than last time.

My only reservation is that he doesn't seem all that keen on living in the UK. I believe he was actually first choice before Lino but changed his mind for family reasons. Maybe that's been sorted.

Also agree re the excitement part, but unfortunately like i said we cant sign 10 superstars, needs to be a balance so inevitable fans won't be excited by all the signings

I think the games at prop for Lawrence have only been fill in emergency few and far between though and I’d certainly rather have a specialist prop.

Perhaps it’s an option for 13 to interchange with Crowther which I would probably be ok if not a bit underwhelmed.

I'm sure Lawrence is a good guy and can do a shift but from what I've seen he isn't the guy for us.

From what I hear on Shaul we are trying to put a package together that reflects the fact he is due a testimonial at Hull next year. I like him, but I wouldn't want to pay over the odds for him.

But the fact Hull want him off the wage bill should also be considered.

Yeah I mean we have Jowitt who is more than good enough at full back so we already have a first choice. Gaskell can cover in case of injury too. Compensating for a testimonial year won’t be easy tbh. Is he contracted to hull for 2023? If so they’d have to pay a %.

A lot will do if Tony Smith rates/wants him. His last coach certainly didn't.

Would be a good move for Hull in that imo he’s easily the best available. but whether Smith still has the drive required at tgat difficult club I don’t know.
