Chill !! We have our saviour in charge of the club , look at his astute signings and appointments. Anyone who can save us will not let us get relegated so sleep easy.

| I’m usually optimistic about us but this year I think we’re done.
Last week was 100% about the result, not the performance. Win last week and it would have probably killed off the Toulouse challenge. We’d have been three wins clear. Anyone who believed that the performance was more important is 100% an idiot.
I don’t blame Willie for the squad. I do blame him, however, for deciding that he fancied a play at the job when he should have realised he wasn’t really up to it. The decision to appoint him was idiotic too. All sporting history, and our own, shows that lifelong assistants are not head coaches. It was obvious it was going to turn out this way the minute he was appointed.
I have a number of direct debits going out to the club every month as well as a season ticket I am yet to use, as other commitments always seem to clash. They’re done now. The club needs money in the super league. Not in he championship.
Idiotic from day one.

| I think it’s as simple as this, if we lose today we are 90% down considering the amount of home games Toulouse have, especially with them playing with confidence. If we win today and actually win with purpose than I’ll back us to kick on and stay up. We still have our own fate in our hands, lose today and that card is well and truly used.

Today is the decider for me.
If the players cannot rise to the occasion from now on then we are down.
BUT I just don't get how MC is to blame for the situation?
This to me is squarely on the shoulders of the coaching staff down to the senior players.
Either way, I would expect a clear out because, for me, half of those running out on the park would be looking for another club.

Couldn't agree more there.
We could argue that our sponsorship money has reduced, but at the end of the day, so has all other clubs. A question to follow this, has the club tried to do any marketing, to try and bring in extra revenue. I think we all know the answer, as it isn't the Carter way. His pig headedness regarding this, amd putting tge onus on fans regarding buying their season tickets is another thing that has annoyed me in the past few years.

A good point, but can we absorb the reduced sponsorship money as easily as the other clubs?

Your asking a question while at the same time giving the answer which at best is speculation, can you honestly say that Carter isn't trying his best to bring in extra revenue, because I'd really like to know your reasons for thinking this , just out of interest is the Carter way purely pig headedness or simply good financial management and being practical, personally for me the time to inform the fans is when there's something to tell which isn't forthcoming in this world wide recession, I'm not a business man so I may be wrong here, not sure what your grievance is here regarding season tickets, when all is said and done what is the difference in pushing season tickets and obtaining sponsorship, doesn't it all go in the same pot.

That’s all true.
What you don’t seem to take into account in the same way the all the experts on here don’t is options.
He runs a club that has been failing for 40 years, none of it of his making.
He has always made it clear he won’t incur debt both for the club or himself chasing success. He has always been honest about this, something people now seem so happy to ignore as they throw there toys out the pram.
Same people who wouldn’t risk a penny of their own money.
So what options has he had!
He’s attempted to keep real star players and has done so. Yet somehow you expect us to pay those wages and still be able to compliment them with others, get real.
He did manage for a while but our luck has run out and the sooner we accept that the better. We as a club have been burning the candle at both ends and it might now be over.
We’ve lived on scraps for years and MC has done his best with incredibly limited options, I’d love to see anyone on here do better I really would.
Finally there are many on here with incredibly short memories and limitless amounts of ingratitude. When MC leaves he will do something no Trinity CEO has ever done. He may leave the club relegated for now but he won’t leave it broke and pennyless like every other previous owner has.
Relegation is not wanted I agree but without Carters prudence it would have happened before now. And without cutting our cloth now it would have become inevitable.
It’s a simple equation - no new ground developments and the resultant financial rewards then no Trinity in any form not just SL.
Regardless of on field performances the Trinity that started 2022 was already unsustainable in it current set up. Without them we would eventually have been relegated but with absolutely zero chance of coming back up or even surviving. We were doomed anyway.
Same will apply to Cas unless they sort it.
The new east and north stands are our saviours not some NRL prop no matter who’s he is.
Fans are not expected to be realistic I accept that but those who run the club are. For that I have total admiration for our BOD even if we are relegated and in truth I fear we will be as I think all our nine lives were spent years ago.

| Carters initial interest was all about protecting his investment, made under the Glover/Elston regime
His desire to see Trinity survive was fortunately in line with supporters but for wholly different reasons
He was never going to risk putting more money in as it isn’t his raison d’etre
The shoestring budget worked well as a policy to rescue the club, thanks but . .
As a policy for advancement or even maintaining the status quo it’s a disaster
His decision making regards Head Coach retentions and appointments has been awful
His decision making re player recruitment, alongside his favourite Coach, has been ridiculous
IMO he’s now losing/lost interest and is even pragmatic about relegation and the loss of his initial investment
Just as fans can laud him for preventing an insolvency they can blame him for the current state of the clubs prospects

Out of curiosity, I wonder how much input he had on decisions when he was on the board between 2011 and before taking over in 2013, especially when it came to the prices of season tickets. Weren't they reduced to something like £150, to make sure we got over the threshold for crowd numbers, as the licensing was around.
Did he speak out or keep quiet?
Looking at the clubs financial statement on companies house, they don't look in that good shape to be honest, and don't look in a much better place than in 2013, when he took over, but I'm no accountant. This is alarming as we do have two running the club

I was against an appointment from the old set up, that view was shared by many.
We then had supporters who just thought he was an assistant and should stay one.

And you know this how? Well of course you don’t you’re just another pretender who thinks he knows but he doesn’t.
Carter has been CEO for six years that alone is a half million pound investment seeing as he works for free. Show some dignity.
