| Best we have played for years, runs from dummy half , very few dropped ball ,and silly penalties.players backing each other up with the ball ,the Lino try proved that .Playing rugby as it should be played .We tired a bit in the last 10mins but overall a great win against a team who had all the big guns one the field .The more I see of Kay at 9 the more I am impressed

| Thought they ramped it up in the second half after not really looking interested in the first half, they clearly got the rounds of the kitchen at half time.
Watching them score those 3 on the bounce was soul destroying but credit to the team for stemming the tide.
When Westerman put it down on the halfway line when we finally got our hands on the ball I thought it was inevitable they would score, but he made up for it forcing the error.
The Lino try was as good a quality try as I’ve seen in a long time at Trinity from us or the away team.
Kershaw’s interception was a great counter punch as I felt the game was in the balance at that stage despite us being comfortably ahead on the score board.
Lino taking an eternity on the last penalty was amusing.
Credit to some of the Wire fans at the end who stood and applauded the Trinity lads.

Never been about pace with TJ. He’s quick no doubt but it’s his balance, athleticism and his ability to take his chances that really set him apart. Kershaw may be quicker I don’t know but he’s still behind on the others.
That said he’s improved dramatically this season, one of a tiny number who can say that.

Don’t tell the number one expert that.
How anyone can criticise Miller this season is beyond me. Sure he’s not world class and he has bad games but in terms of consistency I wish the rest were as reliable as often as Milky is.

I never really saw Miller as a captain but this year in particular he has shown what it means to him to be in that role.
He isn’t the best in the league but the effort he puts in for the team is top notch.
My only criticism today was a missed tackle for one of the tries in the Wire purple patch that I personally thought he should have made.

In some ways yes but Jones rarely scored where as Kershaw has a reasonable strike rate. In fairness to Jones it was harder to score in those days.

Not really. Don’t actually recall Wallo backing Chester just recall him not hysterically demanding his head after every defeat.

You suggested Poching would pick the team CC would have picked because he is somehow incapable of making his own choices, this is nonsense.
Poching picked pretty much the team almost every knowledgeable manager or even supporter would. It was pure logic, only Senior would have been replaced by Lyne by most but he wasn’t available.
All the positions made sense as did the tactics.
As for dropping Miller, our most consistent player throughout the season begets belief, as proven today.
You did what you always do, you started rubbishing and undermining an individual before he’d even begun, why? That’s my issue with you, everyone is a loser from the start with you, except that is for the one player you liked from the week before.
Poching had five days to prepare his team and he did ok. If you must judge him at least do it at the end of the season. Fairs fair.

| Big play from Tommy Johnstone today with just 13 seconds left on the clock he out jumped 2 Warrington players to take the short kick off. If the Warrington players had palmed that ball back as in the previous kick off I think the way they were shifting the ball the result may well have gone their way. Well done Tom.

Matter of opinions he had a hand in one try with a simple drop off ball to a forward who barged over yes you could say he created the space though.but felt he should of done better with one of the wolves trys.but i like my 6 to be creating more dont forget they created 2 of our 4 trys so while he went ok wouldnt say outstanding..nether the less a great win for the boys great to see them hold out in the end lets hope we can kick on from this and lets hope our luck changing too.
One thing i saw from today and this is about a guy who really is winning me over.lee kershaw the lad really is improving took his try really well which i now even more believe to potential signing of lineham is a waste of money

| Kershaw took his try well rounding mamo like he did, and he made that happen it wasn't just a straight pin back your ears job, he made it 6.....anyway, Kershaw always looks catch able, he always looks 6 inches short in a foot race.
Tom has suffered a few injuries and doubtless lost that early days proper keen edge of pace for the time being, but still, he never looks like he'll be caught, they match him for a bit but the end result in a foot race is nearly always the same, an unchallenged score.
Its nice to have some diversity of strengths on the wings though.

Continually backed him? I doubt that I even commented one way or the other and certainly told you very recently that I trusted MC to make the decisions.

You know as I do that Pochings message will have been to relax and express yourself, that’s what most new coaches say, not much else you can in five days.
So I reckon we will see a few crackers like that in the next few weeks.
Pochings Job now us to find a way to incorporate that freedom into a workable game plan, especially once the excitement dies down.
He’ll live or die on his ability to do that.
CC did it for a while but from my viewpoint it seemed to be him who got rigid and tense and the joy of the first few seasons evaporated.
I’ve never coached but I have been a manager most of my working life and I’ve been pretty good at it. If I had one piece of advice for Poching it’s this. Know when to shut up and say nothing, don’t get trapped into the idea that you have to show who’s boss on every trifling issue.
Keep your powder dry and make it clear that when it really matter you and only you have the final say. If used sparingly and fairly most respond.
In coaching the way I see it is that you are the assembler of talent who gives a core structure to the teams style of play. Once the players are on the park you have to trust them and give them the belief and the loyalty to the cause they require.
The only difficult task is spotting those players who are not playing as part of the team and getting rid. Some coaches seem blind to this and eventually it catches them out.
Read Alex Ferguson’s biography. The players were never his friends, they were only servants of the club as was he. He liked the players and wanted them to succeed but the moment they stepped out of line, lost fitness or lost their desire they were out. It wasn’t personal, the club just came first. He also rarely got hung up on tactics or preparation, if you were fit and on form you played and within the lose game plan provided you expressed yourself.
He even admits that towards the end of his career he got to caught up in tactics and the squad system and regrets doing so.
Over to you Mr Poching.

No i said cc wouod of picked the same team in disappointment as i hoped he would change things like playing kelepi in sr not playing senior so once again vasty you are incorrect.again i was shocked that hampshire was not playing now weather he was injured or not i dont know i am aware he was training in the week now if you actually bothered to attend games you would of seen that ryan was far more effective than miller last week and the game game started going downhill when the ball started going to miller more did ryan deserve dropping to me he didnt and as for miller been our most consistent player well i think not theres a few who would be abead of him.see im not rubbihing willie at all i wish him the very best and even cc i wouldnt describe as a loser ive never made anything out like that about anyone.although i know of one person i could think of been one....
