Will players and coaches, be able to resume training now or early new year, due to further lockdown restrictions until the end of next April ?. Every thing connected to sports seems very unclear at the moment. I’m sure regular testing of players/staff, for the virus will have to continue, this will cause massive disruption to training regimens, if anyone is found positive.

Haha me too ! We’ve all seen countless false dawns but this time I have a really good feeling that things are going to happen.
I witnessed all the success of the 60’s (and hope for younger supporters those times return!) but despite the success then I don’t think the management of that time could hold a candle to what the present regime have done.
The club is in safe hands at last, well done to all and hope it continues!

Jordan was sponsored by Joe Ralph personal trainer and got free sessions and other sessions for PT work he did for him, I’m sure that we all know that Wakey and most other SL clubs can’t possibly offer this service to every player, it’s just how the sponsorship worked at the time and the added incentive to prove himself that he was a first team player, a win win for all I think.

Great news for all the fans that at last there is light at the end of the tunnel regarding a ground fit for purpose .Personally I’d stand in a ploughed field to watch my hometown club ,but you’ve got to move with the times and this will really enhance the reputation of the club both on and off the field, and hopefully bring new faces to watch what I believe is the greatest game in the world bar none .

BLM i though Jordy had also worked / is working with Mathew Cook who is earning a great reputation in the sports science Pt world . I have seen videos of Jordy and TJ working with Mathew Cook who I understand also works with the England RU 7`s team. Again this would show great initiative by both Jordy and TJ to seek out the services of a specialist trainer to improve aspects of their game.

That was also an invitation I believe to work on sprint training again every thing helps.

Always believed that specialist coaching can make a difference even in small amounts. It teaches good practice and refines skills.

If he's still around get Frano Botica around to do some kicking training, retain Broughy to do some halfback stuff with the youngsters. Minimal outlay.stuff that could have a positive effect.

Saying that, the RFL have given the go ahead for all training to restart (following their activity guidance for community game) just over a week ago and some of the trinity first team have been back in training for a few weeks already

Thanks FT. I’ve just been hearing on the news, a strong possibility of a full lockdown even before Christmas. It’s difficult to see how even elite sports can continue under those conditions. I do hope clubs are able to get a good pre season workout, and that the season does start in March. Everything is so unpredictable at the moment.

Can't see any surprise there. Players are one thing but your coaching staff are very much going to be picked on trust and personal experience. One thing I think Chester needs more than anything after the last 18 month is people he can rely on and who he knows.

Quite brave actually, as Ireland and Poaching are two people who could easily be considered as people who could replace him. A lot of people would shy away from that level of competition.
