| Quote ="alegend"Chester said after the match there were 4 or 5 players who did not train last week so they could play last night,Weather was a big factor last night making it a level playing field, making it easier to defend and much harder to grip the ground this is why B J B could not dive for the the corner .Thought new forward went well and can not wait to see him on a dry track and think Hampshire would have scored of is break but seemed to near for is pass. .Think the time as come to get behind them instead giving them criticism'"
Well in a fairytale kinda world ideally you would get behind them, but we don't live in one of those do we!! I'm not one for wading in there too often, and will always give people the benefit of the doubt, but my patience has started to wear a bit thin over the last few weeks. Yes injuries, yes the weather etc etc, but at the end of the day performances have been pretty poor generally for weeks, even allowing for certain factors. Like a few others have said, we now have our 1,6,7&9 back that started the season, we should be performing better than we have, that doesn't mean automatic wins, but at least it would give us a chance. You can argue this, but I reckon the 2 games where we had the most players out, we won, Leeds & Hudds. Since then players have come back, yes we have lost other players, but the 17 against London, Catalans and last night were good enough, the performances weren't, and looking at the next set of fixtures if we don't improve, we are gonna be looking at a long losing run sadly......

| Shouldn’t forget Leeds cane just as close to scoring as Wakefield with Ava failing to pick up a grubber right on your tryline in the first half and Watkins being millimetres away when sliding over and Croft with a great effort just turning him over as he got to the line. Whilst you can say it was poor execution I think from a Leeds view we made it much harder for you execute those passes out wide to your left winger with determined defence that was much more in your face than what Leeds usually offer this year. Their was one where Sau tries knocking it back to Hampshire because Briscoe is on Sau, a few weeks ago Briscoe probably wouldn’t have been in camera shot on that play.
Also Leeds had to do around 60 or so tackles more yet we made over 250m more with ball in hand. We also had guys missing and a few making their returns and rusty and carrying knocks themselves. Hurrell’s first SL game since Easter Monday, Ferres returned from a few out and whilst he played the full 80 he only made 4 carries so was obviously managing his way through the game being used mostly for defence, Cuthbertson another returnee and Lolohea is still unfit and whilst he cane up with the try that was the only positive to his performance and the rest of the night felt like playing with 12 men at times. Ava had his knee heavily strapped too and Briscoe was playing hurt that last quarter with his arm strapped up,

| Fans don't have delusions of grandeur, we are holding the club to the expectations that they set before the season started. We were told that we were going to have a good crack at the cup and push for the top 5. We are out of the cup in only our second game and outside of the top 5 and dropping. If the club don't want to be held to their own targets, then don't share those targets in public forums

Have we really though? Still in the same dump in Belle Vue, the same amount of CC semi final appearances as part time Halifax, and no playoffs in the league.

I’m certainly not happy with the way things have been sliding recently, but if you think we haven’t come a long way from 2015, where we were getting beaten by 40 or 50 points nearly every week, including the 80-0 at Warrington.
I do agree though if the club says they’re going to have a crack at the cup and the top 5, they can hardly expect the fans to not be disappointed at the recently meagre attempts of doing both.
But this is definitely a long way from 2015.

I've also heard aiming for silverware mentioned in interviews. I know injuries haven't helped, but even so, we weren't plagued with injuries when we got hammered by favourites for the drop, London, twice. And the team we put out on Friday was of good enough quality to beat the worst Leeds team I've seen in probably the last two decades.
To be taken seriously in a push for the play-offs, those types of games should not just be wins, they should be wins by 40 or 50 points. Two hammerings and a nilling kind of make fans lose the belief.

| My biggest criticism of the team is conceding too many unnecessary penalties. That was big contributor to defeat by Catalans at Magic Weekend and again on Friday night. Having watched Chris Chester’s post match interviews it appears he doesn’t see it as an issue. Until he does and instals more discipline into the team performance we will continue to make winning even more difficult than it already is.

You need to open your eyes
Ownership of the ground and 3 top half of the table finishes would suggest otherwise.
FFS, we're all disappointed about getting done by Leeds (and London) but, a little bit of balance is also neccessary.

| We’ve been letting Wigan and Hudds catch us up. London, Leeds and Hull KR are only three wins behind us. Time for the team and the coaches to pull their fingers out.

| The London result increases the pressure on us. We are lucky Wigan managed to win at Hull KR.
It is not one result that unsettles the supporters but the performances over several games. We have not been good and it could be said on recent form we are probably bottom of the league.
I understand a team can have a one or two game dip but we are currently lacking any form. We allowed the bottom club to rack up 42 points and could not score against the third worse club.
I hope we quickly turn things around but what I fear is we are looking for excuses which suggests we are out of ideas and options. We have blamed the referee and even once the touch judge.

We haven’t been letting teams catch up, these teams have played well to beat whom they have . We’ve been forced to
Play a team short of 5:6:7 first and even second choice players in some cases . Plus then playing players that are not fit or ready to play . Nothing much you can do in these circumstances and it may get worse before it gets better .

| Quote ="PopTart"I'd like to disagree if that's ok.
Firstly injuries may not be an excuse but they are a reason. Changing formations and partnerships will always affect execution and for me that is what is wrong at the moment.
Also, there was no lack of effort yesterday. We forced 4 drop outs from the off so there was no slow start, we just didn't execute the play correctly and put a poor pass out that ended up in touch.
Same with the moans about wet weather rugby. Leeds defended the middle well so one out rugby wasn't working. Brough's kicking was exactly right. We just messed up the play to get the ball with Miller trying to catch on the full rather than letting them make the mistake or Hampshire trying for the ball and catching the player off the ball.
Again the game changing move was great in that the ball went to the new guy out wide who broke free. Hampshire made the effort to catch up but ran rowards him rather than leaving a passing option so the fullback has the intercept and pass within reach.
BJB not diving. It's all execution.
Sau could have had 3 tries if the ball had been a good pass.'" when the break was made rocky got with him ready for the pass, the player making the break is totally responsible for what happens next. Did he draw the fullback no did he go right to take the full back away no did he try to turn him away from the support runner no and lastly why did he pass if he couldn’t get a good ball out, it’s basic stuff you learn kids put the fullback where you want him. He broke through and didn’t know what to do simple as that.

London is our last game of the season and my dread is and lets be honest its totally Trinity's style, that this will be a relegation decider. I thought those days were gone but its more than possible, it has RL written all over it!
I don't give a stuff who or whats to blame as its all obvious and unavoidable to a great extent. However London don't care about that nor do any of the teams below us. Regardless of who is or isn't available we need to get a win. It can be done, London just defeated a team that whooped us and lets not pretend here, even a half fit Trinity should be a match for London and at the moment we clearly aren't.
I can't say this enough, I'm not blaming anyone, but I am worried, we need to find something and soon.
If I get a kicking for saying this so be it.

I agree with what you say but Hampshire made it harder for him. He either needed to keep a straight line or move away but running closer took his options away.
I still think he should have kept the ball and dummied but Hampshire is partly to blame in my opinion.

Agreed - between them, they did just about everything wrong; and when it became obvious to the ball carrier that he had no options, he should have dummied the fat lad and tried to make back the space that Hampshire had taken away.
All hindsight I know, but it did look fairly simple.

Can’t remember him copping the criticism Tanginoa is , who in my opinion had a good game against Leeds.
