It goes without saying that everyone has to be careful about naming names (apart from Carney obviously) in case that comes back to bite the forum admins but so far good or bad humour about the situation seems ok.

On subject though, I'm usually the one preaching the positive good guy speech and if what is rumoured to have happened is not very nice on a personal level, but I don't see why you have to lose your job.
If everyone who dipped in the neighbours pool (so to speak) was sacked we'd have no one left where I work. It's a personal matter.

If it causes a problem within the team then I guess it could be handled but only on a mutually agreed compromise agreement thing. I don't think Cas should be able to sack him. It isn't illegal and it isn't against the rules of rugby league or the spirit of the game.
I can't imagine Cas have written it in to any contracts that the player remains "family friendly" and the 'bringing the game in to disrepute' is kind of tenuous.

I don't like him and wouldn't want the guy in my group of friends but they are paid to play rugby.

It will be against the Players Code of Conduct that forms part of his contract with the club and the severity, which is subjective, will dictate whether it's a sackable offence or not.

Just out of intrest,with the allegedly racist chanting at BV and the homophobic chants at Cas, there can't be a problem with chants regarding this subject...surely
