| Don't have a problem with this. Mc shanes no interest and a new face with a better attitude will do for me. Mc shane was over rated.

| What worries me is that we havent had a settled team since smith took charge and now were going into the middle 8 with yet more squad changes. Wete hardly going to be a cohesive unit as opposedto other teams who have a relatively settled 17

| Come on wake up and smell the coffee we have no intentions of being here once the season is over. We are planning to clear the decks making it easier to finalise everything with the minimum inconvenience. We are now working on ensuring our relegation by bringing in players on short term contracts who are either already signed for next season with other clubs or are so poor no one else would want them.
I know you need your pacifiers to get through all this negativity. I see the usual he was not that good anyway, we are bringing in better all praise M Carter he saved us but unfortunately he is now ruling over our imminent demise. When we go we can at least say we went with a clean slate and a chairman loved by all others in the game.
Yes I am annoyed more at the idiots on here with rose titled spectacles who will not face what the rest of us can see. I expect you will be standing outside the gates of Belle Vue next year whist fully remembering the halcyon days.

| So why are you still here then Scarlet? Doesn't seem worth watching and certainly not posting about the terrible state we are in.
You should cut your loses and do something else that you enjoy.
My glasses aren't tinted. I know what state we are in.....but I'm supporting anyway.

I am sure Scarlet knows what state we are in and he is still supporting the club just like you. I am also sure
the reason he is so negative is because he loves the club and hates to see it dying.

| We have enough sycophants on here already, if you wish to restrict it to those who believe in unicorns and the tooth fairy you can do by blocking those that don't. This is still a forum and I wish to register my disgust at the way we are going, you don't care providing we have a team wearing red white and blue or whatever crazy colours we come up with.
I would suggest you change the title to "Wakefield Trinity forum only true believers need contribute"
I expect the usual to come on here saying like you why don't you support Castleford well the reason I am disgusted is because Wakefield are the club I have supported for over 40 years and I have never experienced a season like this or it being run quite so badly. We are about to enter the middle 8's with a vastly changed team of cast offs. I wish Smith well because he is trying to save us with one hand tied behind his back and no ground for next season.

| I think it's a shrewd move.
You are bringing in a player that is coming from a winning environment and replacing someone who will have eye on next season with the Cas contract already in the back pocket. That player will be effected, even if it's just 1% in his approach and mentality it's 1% less for us.
Brian Smith is shuffling the pack, leave it to him. Game on next weekend....

| Anybody that doesn't think we are getting the dirty end of the stick with this deal doesn't know much about RL. Is McShane a world beater? No of course he isn't, but he is a talented young player who offers a damn sight more than Scott bloody Moore does. That bloke is a waste of space, but i'm not surprised he's here and thats the saddest thing.
Take Locke out of the equation and have any of our signings really been improvements on those that have left? Not in my opinion. Where is the real improvement on a matchday anywhere other than in Millers performances? A win against a very understrength and knackered Hull team and everybody got giidy. 100 points conceded in the last two games tells me not much has changed. Looks to me we are preparing for life in the division below which will likely be fatal. Seems to me Mr Carter didn't save the club when he took over, he has just delayed it's death. Pee'd off with it all and had enough? You had better believe it.

I don't know about a winning mentality, Cas may have only lost 9 league games this season but Moore has played in 7 of those. Their success rate without him is much higher!

| Oh boo hoo Scarlet
No one is saying you can't say your opinion, but when your opinion is everything is rubbish and that those who don't see what you see have rose tinted glasses and are idiots I don't see why you are still here......... And generally people don't like being called idiots. Why are you surprised someone replied?
You accuse the club of just giving up and preparing for lower league but you have no knowledge about why they are doing what they are doing.
Even if McShane is better than Moore, we are the bottom club and that's the kind of signing we'll be doing for a while even if we survive the middle 8. It's no good accusing people of trying to kill the club.
It seems to me they are trying in difficult circumstances.
I'm not happy at the state of the club but we are where we are. If you call me an idiot for still following and looking for the positive in the situation then so be it. I'd rather be me than you.

| I don't want to see a team of half hearted players taking the field. You can see the players only put half the effort in and many of them are out of contract at the end of the season and probably found a new club. Things had to change we may not agree with the players coming in but for me its about effort . Im sure( although the time scales short) that Brian Smith will get the best out of the players at his disposal, I don't agree with some of the comings and goings but you have to give way to B Smith . I was over the moon when we got him and im still supportive of his efforts and decision making. I also dont see a problem with shifting players out who are away at the end of the season, I think the efforts put in by a number that departed been poor.
I wouldn't like to be in M C shoes and its easy to give him a hard time and to be honest I don't like his management style , but why keep players on your books who don't want to be at Wakey next season . If you can do a deal and replace with another player in the same position then that's ok by me. Im just not in the know enough to make an educated comment, but I would have thought it was not a decision taken without consultation .
The 8s are about to start and new team players will be taking the field, I do not see that as a bad thing.

| McShane has done little this year except put even more weight on. He cut out the early season regular forward passes but his kicking has been remained abysmal. I would blame him for handing the impetus to Catalans at 10-12 the other week leading to us losing a game where we were dominating. Pity we can't get a bread and butter hooker like Andy Ellis signed up before the deadline.

[iWakefield Trinity Wildcats are delighted to announce the loan signing of Scott Moore.
The hooker has joined the club from Super League rivals Castleford Tigers until the end of the season. [/i
What makes you think Moore wants to be here next season? The lads had more clubs than Tiger Woods.

| The deal is permanent deal for McShane and a loan to the end of season.
We didn't have to let McShane go.
To me it either means there is a financial benefit to us, like possibly Cas still paying part wages as he is still under contract, or McShane is kicking up a fuss and we need him to leave for team spirit reasons.
I can't imagine the second so I assume the first.

| We did not need to swap players now, yes he is out of contract but all we have got is a player who will be with us for the same period. The reason is either strategical because Moore brings something McShane didn't or we are just looking to do things on the cheap again. I am sad but it is for our great club because Carter can leave when he wants because I doubt he is still paying money into the club but whatever he leaves behind we as supporters will have to live with.
I note he will still not accept that any decision he had made was wrong, just look at his Twitter comment regarding student tickets.

| Gotta say, even though i'm not a fan of this news I'm still behind Carter. We are obviously living within our means due to a fall in crowds. We can't spend money we don't have, if we did then we'd be in a mess again like after the Glover reign, and then people would be moaning. Seems he can't win sometimes.

But it's catch 22.
Keep weakening the team and results get worse.
Results get worse and crowds fall away.
And repeat until there is no cheaper option available.
Known as a race to the bottom.

| Thought McShane was one of your best players when you beat us first game of the year, it was him that swung the momentum to spark the comeback.
One thing is for sure - Powell can see good players in weak teams (all our ex-London players have proved to be very astute signings). I hope this is the case for McShane too.
I really can't understand why you have taken Owen, Tansey and now Moore.

| Like a lot of our players this season they've had a nightmare 'collectively' it doesn't make them bad players individually, that is true of Mcshane who I rate, he is a loss to us with out doubt, I don't thing Moore is half the player he is although I will welcome him aboard and support him 100%
Moore showed a lot of talent in his early career and has never progressed, lets hope his time to shine is now
