So going by that theory shall we get shut of Lyne as well then given they have played about the same number if games in the last 12 months? May as well get shut of Kirke, Molloy, Ashurst and Annakin too whilst we are having a clear out they have missed more than they have played as well. Sorry but if we are to have a chance of staying up then we need to have players who can something that others can't. Collis is a quality centre and many good judges in the game say the same. He was ever present before his freak injury and hasn't missed a game since he came back. Where exactly would we get a like for like replacement at this point of the season?

| Can't remember Collis ever being on the bench, either from the start of the game or during it.

He had a bad year last season granted but that can happen and in the previous two seasons played over 20 games in both seasons. He is one of the few players we have with genuine class, letting him go now would be suicide.'"
I agree. Getting rid of Collis now would be scandalous.
Reece Lyne isn't much better for missing games.
Dean Collis:
2012 - 20 Games / 28 Games
2013 - 24 Games / 27 Games
2014 - 9 Games / 27 Games
2015 - 9 Games / 14 Games
Total 62 / 96 = 64.5% of games.
Reece Lyne:
2013 - 16 Games / 27 Games
2014 - 19 Games / 27 Games
2015 - 9 Games / 14 Games
Not sure where this "Collis Out" Club has come from, but hes is a real talent and I'd be doing my best to keep him on board.
Hes also one of the best defenders in our team!

Can't agree fully with the defending part, he often runs out of the line and leaves his winger vulnerable if he can't complete the tackle.

| In all honesty we only have three players that can break a defensive line.
Tim Smith with his pass, which at the moment isn't quite firing
Dean Collis when he gets outside his man and slips a pass out of teh back door
Ali when he runs at the line and can get a ball free
Everyone else feeds of these three.

Totally agree and that is part of our problem . It's often said that attack is the best form of defence but when your limited in that department and have a shocking defence as well it's no wander we're where we are!

Surely Godinet does, near the line he's quite lethal given half a chance.

| You forget our best player this season , McShane. There are many reasons why our defense has been so poor for last three years, poor coaching, poor game plan, poor line speed, poor players, poor technique, no leg tackling, lake of desire, aggression and pride and a lack of accountability for poor play, plus players out of position and poor selection. The new coach has an easy job, our defense is so poor that it will be easy to improve.

I agree McShane is one of our best players but he doesn't break the line.
His skill is to get things moving quickly and has many skills but when the opposition has a fixed line he isn't the one to break it, he's the one to give the likes of Ali and Collis the best chance of breaking.
Ali in particular is the one we miss. Against both Hull KR and Widnes we were attacking the line and just sending straight runners at tacklers. Ali would have drawn people in and made the gap.

| Could this indicate a plan to move Godinet into the halves and Howarth to spell with McShane?

| I'm not sure Howarth is any improvement on what we've already got. Seems a bit odd if it is us, especially with no coach in place at the minute.

So would you rather have Godinet spelling with McShane, with Godinet on the bench for a big chunk of the game?
Or would you have Howarth spelling with McShane, with Godinet spending a big chunk of the game on the field, next to Smith in the halves?
Would take Howarth over Miller every day of the week.
Since Howarth left us, he hasn't exactly dropped off into obscurity, he's had some decent clubs.

The only problem with Godinet in the halves with Smith is that Pita has no kicking game (like Sykes) to take the work load off Smith. Admitedly Miller has no kicking game either!

| Poor man's Danny Washbrook, but it would free up Godinet to play in the halves and allow McShane to be spelled when he becomes fatigued and a liability.

Ok by me, especially if it means having Godinet in the halves

This
Surely with a new coach about to start, we shouldn't be moving any players in or out.
Give the new guy as much "wiggle room" as we can.

| We have had Griffin, Hand and Kavanagh on loan, offering nothing more than what we have.
Howarth offers options at hooker and loose.
Good player, underrated.
