Sinfield looked totally gone though - he'd lost the plot and massively over-reacted to a bit of shouting from Dorn; sending off was the right decision and provided the disciplinary don't bottle it, he should cool his heels for a few games.

The outrage from some quarters is probably more to do with the player than the act, largely because he is SL's poster boy and the behaviour was so out of character.

No you wouldn't get arrested. No complaint from Dorn. No injury to Dorn and most police have got no bottle and are lazy. In all honesty the chances of getting arrested are minute and the chances of being charged (with common assault) - zero.

I wonder if you would act as lawyer to my friend's nephew who did get arrested for the same thing as Sinfield did. I am sure with your help he won't get prosecuted.

Technically there at least over a dozen incidents a game that would be classed as an assault. If the contact falls outside the parameters of the rules of the game. Head high shots and all altercations with hand bags and fisty cuffs.

I certainly ain't worried about something like this which Dorns young un could have done harder. (Not right to do from Sinfield but not anything to be pursued criminally). An apology from Sinfield and a handshake is sufficient. Im sure Dorn said to Sinfield after game, call that a headbutt lad. Oh and did anyone see Maafu love tap on Tom Young? Tom Young tweets the photo of Maafu fist square on Youngs face saying "Good Shot mate, go well in the final #rocky ". I know the difference between a proper full on head butt and what Sinfield did but the fact that it was a poor example doesn't mean it wasn't a head butt.

I don't know Jinjer so I'm not being personal when we disagree therefore it doesn't bother me how aggrieved he feels when he can't get a pint at last orders.
