The trouble is MC that you will always get 2 types of fan no matter what the team sport is Fan 1 only goes to see a side winning 9 out of 10 games then Fan no 2 the Die Hard who turns up week in week out.Among those you then have sub sections Fan 1 the casual who turns up when nothing better to do but the side must have a chance of winning.Fan 2 among the die hards who will turn up but want to at least see effort from every one of those players and if don't it gets to them and eventually think if the players cant be bothered why should I.Of course you then have a 3rd type of fan the real Die Hard who attends come what may might have a grumble but will turn up next game.I wonder what bracket I fit into carer for one of my kids could have had a free season ticket because of it but with the club being in the mire paid for it,Helped at the ground to get her back to a standard will only miss 1 home game this season due to a yearly doo we always go to.I have a grumble and air my views at times but is that not the case with lots of fans.My God was up at my Dads during the week and had a look at the evening paper and even Leeds fans were complaining about McDermott.

Couldn't care less about those overpaid prima donnas. If ever there was a case of no passion it's there!!

Well just had a look at the Saints board what would those fans be like in our position I wonder ?

M C take a step back if you can and take a look at your achievements .we have no idea what goes on behind the scenes and the difficulty in running a RLFC ,particualy one with our checkered history. I can understand your frustration and the comments you have made, but the club lives on. Personally I am just relieved to have a team to support, I don't get to all the games these days,the club will always have my support.the only problem I foresee is you tend to take things personally, and getting involved on the forum could either be seen as admirable or foolish. It certainly puts you from time to time in the firing line for some of the members who are disgruntled at performances or who disagree with your views.just one quick question would you prefer that fans attending 5/6 matches obtained a discounted season ticket,or paid £20 on the gate. I think the majority of fans that go are now prepared to give it time.
We started with a win in pretty damp conditions and I think if fans see a gradual improvement in performances, that is what will keep them happy and at the end of the day, is what any normal fan wants.

I'm not talking about regular fans, im talking about the "stayaways", or whatever you want to call them

Got a run of home games to get the 'floating' fans interested, let's wait and see.

Despite Trinity not being my first team I feel the town and the kids that play the game in particular owe M.C. a massive thanks for what he has done.

I regularly get down and can't really understand the pessimism that is knocking about.

Yes it is an entertainment industry but it is about realistic expectations. Trinity started at a massive disadvantage to other teams you have cobbled a team together and are looking good to stay up.

Personally I don't care how you do it. You could bore me to tears but I will still be over the moon if you are in SL next year and can start to build a team to match the expectations of some "fans".

To have a team on the field is testament to the new management, fans need to be patient and realistic. By staying away and not getting behind the club all you are doing is making it harder for the club to build to the level you want it to.

If at the start if the year you would have told me that Trinity would be in this position at this stage if the season personally I would have taken it with bells on!!

Well said that man, just the fact we have a team to moan about is a bonus, we've come from behind the 8 ball and without we implode and bugger it up our future SL wise is now well and truly in our own hands.

We get it so disastrously wrong so often yet we survive and sometimes trouble the top teams. It really makes you wonder what we might achieve if we ever get it consistently right.

somebody got it right in the 1960s ,stuart hadfield i think,we had a great team and great support, trouble is the fans have been let down too many times by poor management.

And, going back to my original post, once we start getting it right on the pitch, which im sure we will, the crowds will follow

If we can build on the second half of the London game which we will in better conditions to help Smithy et al then confidence will grow and with that will come success
