100% agree with this. There is imo no basis to support him continuing as coach.
His coaching traits appear to be:
- no game plan
- experiment with the line up on a regular basis and keep playing players in the wrong positions even when it is clear it's not working
- waste at least 2 interchanges every game by making subs just before and just after ht
- state the squad needs time to gel but then continually add to it with what appears pointless loan signings
- stick by certain under performing players come what may
- have no ability to switch to a plan b even when plan a has failed spectacularly

| Brilliant signing.
Really given you all something to go into 'Agar hate' overdrive.

Don't worry, my nan could break down our so called "Defence" at the moment. Luke Gale couldn't unlock a bottle of calpol he's that clueless.
A 36 year old Gilmour will easily be able to handle our team at the moment.
And Cummins has given the motivation speech of the century: "We knew Wakefield was a big game anyway and hopefully we’ll have a handful of players who are willing to do a job for the team.
“If we have then we won’t be far away. If half a dozen don’t turn up or decide to do something else, then we will get embarrassed again.”
Biggest game in our recent history and our coach is HOPEFUL that SOME players will do THEIR JOB

To be fair those words could easily have been attributed to Agar.
Has there ever been a such game where both sets of supporters expect to lose?

| Bull Mania, we missed 44 tackles on Sunday ( which is good for us ) plus Warrington rested several players. Sounds like its going to be a real high quality game.

| With this signing we haven't scraped the bottom of the barrel. We have moved the barrel and had a look at what's underneath. Five or so years ago must would be very pleased with this kind of signing. To me it reeks desperation from a coach grasping at any lifeline he can. If we survive relegation this year it won't be because of anything Agar has done. It will be like the not too distant past when we were reliant on teams being worse than us.

| Shows how deep the hole is regarding injuries , I wonder which club as helped us the most , Cas (Gilmour & Owenn ) or the so called close relationship we have with Leeds ( Keinhorst & Briscoe )

| Will Agar play a player in Gilmour on Sunday who hasn't played this year.
Only going to train with Wake tomorrow.
If he does he truly is bonkers.
The only crumb of comfort, is that it says he may make a home debut against London.
Didn't play Owen who was more match fit against Cas, so would make perfect sense to chuck Gilmour in on Sunday.

| Keep it up then you can keep sending the young forwards to us with a bit of luck they might want to stay Wierd sending players to Fev to get match fit and loaning one from Cas who hasn't played

| Mentioned this rumour at the game sunday and people laughed. I had hoped it was a wind up. What a truely awful signing, he has been past his best since the tirn of the decade.

| So I don't know whether someone else has mentioned this as I didn't read the other 3 pages but Smith is available to play for us according to Trinity.
He has been registered dual contract but not sent on loan.
Gilmour I was surprised at but I think he will be covering centre for us not back row. We are at bare minimum there.
I don't think I'd play him against Bradford but one injury and we are back to Mathers in the centre with a kid on the wing.
Not a bad thing to have some back up.

We all agree with you jt, it seems that our coach is the only one who has a different opinion.
If we send you another couple of players, we could break the bank and go after McGoldrick, or maybe Gary Mercer.
Wayne Price would fit the bill at the moment as well, he came from Cas and did nowt

| I am truly shocked by this signing. Gilmour was a good player in his day (about 2004) but has not played for 12 months having had several injuries......thought we'd have gone with Sykes and Wakshaw into centre? With Sammut and Godinet at 6 & 7? Looks like panic is setting in... A team of journeymen and 'has beens' developing where team understanding and development is stifled.

All three would walk into todays team, plenty of bottle. I'd let Price and Norton work it out between them who would place loose forward, that would be more entertainment than we've seen at BV all season.

| Gilmour always has given 100% during his career. I know he is the twilight of his career, but has played prop, 2nd row and centre over the last 5 years if memory serves me right. Could he be used in the centres to put Ryan back in the forwards? He will potentially bring experience and leadership that our lot dont seem to have at the moment.

So what if he has, it's not the 1970s any more, it common place in the modern game. It's a professional environment and it's his prerogative to go were he wants and quite frankly I don't blame him, especially after been moved to LF and Anderson getting the red carpet treatment as the priority signing. As long as Dan approaches the situation in a professional manor and shows commitment to the cause I don't see any reason for him been shipped out. For me he's certainly shown more grunt than our regular "no balls" starting props!
