For the game of RL, it would be good news if a decent offer was made to save the Bulls and although it's handy to have a club that started 6 points behind, we shouldn't want that to be our saviour.
It would be poor to stay in SL just because the Bulls have a 6 point deduction.

We need to concentrate on securing Wakefields position in the top flight and achieving the highest league placing that we can manage.

Just for a cruel irony, what would happen if Bradford and Salford were battling it out for 13th place ??

Had shades of the teddy already. The Salford hardcore this year will be around 5K at best. We'll get an idea when they play Catalan. Bradford at their complete lowest ebb the other week got that.

The issue might be whether she can show she has the acumen rather than a pot of cash, but I suppose if they employ the right people, it won't matter.

Watching their interview on sky sports news yesterday was cringeworthy. All the reporter could get out of Mrs Koucash was a series of 'yeah its good' and i 'love rugby league' followed by giggles. The doctor did pretty all the talking, it's the most obvious case of a front (wo)man in RL history! This is a woman who just last week was pictured on sky standing next to the doctor whilst they were playing Widnes chanting 'Salford, Salford' when they scored! Its purely just a way of the doctor being able to own more than one superleague club and boost his voting rights.

Its also a good way of getting around the salary cap as well. Whats to stop Bradford buying 3 big name players on large salaries and 'loaning' them to Salford? Nothing in the rules to stop it and the operational rules state that the responsibility for the wages of a loaned player remain with the parent club. The clubs involved negotiate a charge, which could be a nominal quid if they desire. Good luck to Bradford but i hope for their fans sake they are not about to become a vehicle for Salford to manipulate.

Can you imagine the uproar if this was happening in football, a foreign owner of one premier league club getting his wife to buy another. The media would go into meltdown.

And for the Salford fans who could quickly see their club become Dr K's second favourite rugby interest.

Yep it could work the other way and Salford becomes a feeder club for the Bulls.

Theoretically if Bradford are still struggling in a couple of months and Salford are safe but unlikely to make the play offs, what's to stop Salford 'loaning' say Hock, Hansen & Morley to the Bulls until the end of the season?

There are plenty of reasons for this not to be acceptable, but I'm loathe to say much about it; the loquacious Bradford forum mafia will be out in force, with their newly discovered zeal and admiration for all things Koukash, using pseudo-legal arguments and sheer volume of words to silence any dissenting voices; knowing all the while that if Mrs K was buying any other club with her housekeeping spend, they'd be self-harming all over the VT.

It's all become very tiresome.

The integrity of the whole competition is at stake here. Not only that it would seriously diminish their power base. What is to stop Koucash getting his brother to front bids for other teams and pretty much create his own monopoly? If they let it through then it sets a very dangerous precident.

Also cos us Wakey fans tend to like a conspiracy theory what if it were between us and Bradford for the last relegation spot and the 2pts from the salford game could help bradford out? Whats to stop Salford playing a weakened team at DR K's request to help protect his (sorry I meant his wifes) investment.

Too many opportunities to manipulate the game and or the league for my liking, but what if her/his bid is the best; what is the administrator expected to do?

No not really, we are not owned by anyone connected to Leeds so it entirely different.
Indeed kath was offered but refused to buy into the club.
She is a paid consultant only.

There's still the ratification stage after that.

But she did have a stake in Hull, and whilst GH is an employee of Leeds to call him a mere employee does him a serious injustice. He is the Leeds Rhinos.

Maybe this situation does fall foul of the conflict of interest rules and I'm doing my best not to get my hopes up because of that. But if conflict of interest is purely based on financial interest it doesn't come close to covering the situations in which actual conflicts of interest can arise.

Owners no, but both Kath and Gary are involved in high level decision making at both clubs. I don't see a problem if Koukash is looking to bring in a management team to run the Bulls operation. Though I can appreciate that a Wakefield fan might quietly prefer not to see a wealthy owner step in for the Bulls at this moment in time.

The suggestion isn't that there is favouritism, it's that having related people as key decision makers at competing clubs doesn't necessarily mean there is a conflict of interest. Nobody's accusing anybody of anything.
