| I know this wont happen, but it has in football......
imagine if the bulls win the Carvell case. instead of hull paying compensation, carvell goes back and "warms the bench" for 12 months, upsetting everyone in the camp while he does it.

| Interesting thing is that RFL are talking to other potential owners, so we could yet see all staff TUPE'd again. Now if for a player with tenuous connections to a small island country in the Med was thinking about getting out and has just seen Carvell legitimately walk away, they would have a clear route wouldn't they. Now if you were a double barrelled Kiwi who hopes to be in place whomsoever takes on ownership, you would want to try and keep the squad together, indeed you would be obliged to try and do so, making a statement and actually acting on it are two very different things.

Which OK Bulls or Bulls 2014? If he buys Bulls 2014, but it could get really messy if Bulls 2014 want to stay in charge. I would imagine that Bulls 2014 would have inserted a clause regarding SL licence transfer. If that does not happen does everything go back to OK Bulls and then out again?

| Lots of smoke and mirrors going off at the Bulls.
A timely distraction to get the season underway without points deduction?

OK Bulls has no assets and no goodwill - it's as good as dead.
Lamb is looking to buy Bulls 2014 and everyone knows it.

| What about this for a theory.
OK Bulls in financial difficulties. £300k coming from SKY which they don't want to hand over to creditors including Omar Khan. OK Bulls Ltd placed in Administration by the 1 share not held by Omar Khan and a new company, Bradford Bulls 2014 Ltd established who take the players from OK Bulls Ltd under TUPE. The RFL give them a 28 day SL Licence whilst new owners are being looked into.
Now the potential new owner could buy into Bradford Bulls 2014 Ltd but he could also buy OK Bulls Ltd and pay some of the creditors, particularly the HMRC. But OK Bulls Ltd now have no players. Why would he do this ? Well what if Bradford Bulls 2014 Ltd is then placed in Administration and the players are transferred under a TUPE arrangement back to OK Bulls Ltd.
You now have OK Bulls Ltd continuing, with pretty much the same players and as its the existing company, not a new company, paid off major creditors (except maybe Omar Khan) avoids a point deduction (or gets away with 2 points).
May be way off the mark but I could not understand why a potential new owner would look to buy OK Bulls Ltd.

| The bloody cheek of them taking legal action. Just seen the carvel thread, can't believe that someone said they hope he has a career ending injury. That is disgraceful, but that just sums up Bradford.

But they could mitigate a points reduction by taking the same action re OK Bulls creditors anyway, in the same way we did in 2011. By buying OK Bulls, don't they risk losing the 300K?
Unless of course the RFL took the stance that the administration was a spat about ownership and not "true" administration, thus avoiding the need to dock points.
But where does that leave the current owners, who want the club but not Omar Khan, who of course would still be owed a shed load of cash.
No, the sensible way forward is to stick with the new company, promise stability, investment and repayment of creditors of OK Bulls to try and mitigate the points deduction, pocket the 300K and move on.

Which would be the sensible thing and is probably what will happen.
The issue has became a heated debate because of the short lived news item that appeared on and then was removed from the Bulls website. Given the preferential treatment the bulls have received alongside the lies and deceit surrounding the purchase of Odsal and you can understand the Rugby League communities scepticism.
Throw in the apparent disparity between how the Bulls were treated and the apparent threat of relegation levelled at Trinity by the RFL and you've got the bitter and nasty hornets nest we've witnessed over the last few weeks.

I tend to agree but I was intrigued when it was stated that the prospective new owner was looking to buy OK Bulls Ltd and I was trying to figure out why he would do it. This was the only thing I could think of.
Are you making the trip to France this year ?

| Fed up of the whole Bulls debate now. I might reconsider that when/if the RFL make a decision on points deductions or not. Having said that I did momentarily buy into the old conspiracy theory again when Blake Solly announced on B&A that they would be making a decision in the next 7-10 days. My immediate reaction was that that gives them a chance to see how Bradford do in their 2 opening games against teams likely to be involved in the bottom of the table battle with them. For now though, I have to say "what will be, will be".
It is just over 48 hours now till WAKEFIELD's opening game of the campaign and that is where i want to focus my attention, not on things outside of our control.
A win on Sunday (or even a good losing performance) will set us up nicely for the chance to take 2 points off Bradford ourselves instead of waiting for the RFL to do it.
Come on Wakey, Ticket is at home waiting to be used. I'm ready for the start of OUR campaign. Bring it on!!!!!

| I feel for decent Bradford fans, they've been through some tough times just like us.
We are all guilty of wearing rose tinted goggles when trying to support our clubs and common sense can sometimes take a back seat in our reasoning.
I try not to let a few internet morons turn me against many good loyal RL fans.

Absolutely - and failure to be seen to do justice will do more harm to the game, its supporters, and especially the Bradford supporters than anything else.
We need the RFL to do the right thing, justify their actions loudly and publicly and move on!
I hope Bradford get their new owner, but I am still pained by what has seemingly happened thus far. At the end of the season, and we are in the 12, I will be able to move on completely.

Well said Al - I feel exactly the same way; some right daft nonsense is spouted in this era of business v business rather than team v team, but I don't wish any ill will on Bradford fans; they've been done over by a succession of crooked owners and that's not their fault.
Bring on the bleedin' rugby!

| This is 100% typical of the bulls forum.
There is a massive gap between where their club is and where their ego makes them think it should be.
Going right back to their first admin many people were pointing them in the right direction but they knew better and look where it got them.
This time around it's just the same, anyone trying to point out their problems gets vilified due to the odsal hole sized chip on their shoulders.
Their board if it can be seen as a cross section of their support is in meltdown and spectacularly none of it is their clubs fault, I'd defies belief.
It's a right royal mess but the mentality of the forum is so skewed from reality it is crazy.
My nature is to have empathy for the fans, but they know how to make that difficult.

Thats because two or three posters control the board and brow beats the decent open minded Bulls fans away.
Again i feel for Bulls fans going through this but one or two of them deserve what they get.
