| As with most imports, they need a season to bed in. Just ask the Wigan fans who wanted shut of Pat Richards in his first season what they think of him now.

| Quote ="Fordy"I don't know what his salary is and quite frankly I don't think we should know. His value to the team is what needs to be considered.
We are more than likely going to run with a drastically reduced squad next year and bearing in mind we have already lost Amor and Wilkes as well as Mariano who had some size and could cover prop if necessary. Nobody we bring in is going to have the same quality as those 3 and we will not compete at all if we can't lay some kind of platform for the backs.
To me, that means losing Poore would be a bridge too far. I'm fully aware that we have to "cut our cloth" but replacing him with 2 "average" props for the same money is false economy.'"
Who said anything about 2 average props for the same money, he's been paid close to twice what he's worth.
So we could get 2 decent props for the same money.
Not is fault and I think keeping him would be a bonus.

What, so because a completely player at a completely different club in a completely different position once took a season to bed in then Poore will do the same. Yes, that's a reasonable school of thought.
Shame we didnt keep Leano, Tongia, Hickey, Winterstein etc etc etc for a bit longer.

By the time psople get rount to buying Xmas presens or spending any spare Xmas money we may well be down to the bare bones and then people will be less likely to bother buying a ST.
I do believe they call it... a catch 22.

| I don't know how much the lad gets paid and I do think comments like
Twice as much as worth
replace him for half the money
two players for the same
wage used more sensibly, help in anyway
What I do know is he put in some good games, don't recall him knocking on,and knows how to knock em down. His attitude seems first rate and hes said he wants to remain at the club. That for me puts him in the keep option.

| Think we need a pack leader like Poore that other forwards like Daniel Smith can learn from. Hopefully Tautai will be back and be consistent just doing the hard yards and basics and we'll have a competitive front row.

| If Poore was to leave then that's Amor, Wilkes and Poore from our starting 4 props in 2013 ( one of our highlights IMO were the forwars). Replacing Wilkes and Amor especially is a task itself without having to replace Poore who goes about his job well.

| i don't think replacing olly is too hard! he has been a great servant to our club twice but he is now better moving to championship! thanks to olly! kyle was outstanding last year which has earn't him a contract elsewhere to a bigger club but thanks to kyle for everything! i don't think justin is in it just for the cash but he is under contract so if he does leave i hope we get a transfer fee..i would like to see him with us next season. as for the the young uns like annakin and trout, they need to know where they are playing next year! trout finished the season at 13 yet started at interchange prop as did annakin..how are they supposed to shape their bodies in the off season knowing that they they are going to be either a stone too heavy or a stone too light? not bothered about washbrook leaving..he can tackle but has no skill and the last few games with kaye on the wing was a massive improvement on fox! i was in catalan and they took him to pieces, was embarrassing actually!

| The above has been done to death, I think we are all well aware of the challenges the younger set of players face but the reality is we they may very well have to fill in other positions in 2014. Perhaps they shouldn't have to but here we are.
Kaye was an improvement but he has been offered a contract and its down to the club to and him to nagotiate a deal or he may no longer be an option.
Amor was a big loss, Wilkes I didn't rare at the start and even mid part of last year but the guy really stood up and played pretty well for the large part of the closing stages of last year and still needs replacing.
It will be interesting to see how the squad shapes up for 2014 and I'm looking forward to it. Bring it on.

Must admit he didn't do too well for me also. I also think Rakeigh is going to have to step up next season and take a leaf out of his best mate Eorl Crabtrees book.

| @PeteSmithYEP: Wakefield Trinity Wildcats coach Rich Agar has dismissed the Poore/Aiton to Leeds rumours. Hull KR are interested in Poore. #rugbyleague
That's a new one this end, certainly no murmurings of it at all

| Would be disappointed if we lose Poore, we could really do with his size an experience next season and seems like a decent guy. Hasn't exactly set the world alight but has been very solid for us and rarely takes a step back, just needs to cut out the silly penalties sometimes. Wouldn't be surprised if he left, mind

| Thought Poore said he would stay at Wakey while ever Agar was here. We may need to sell him or he may now wish to leave. If he's leaving does that mean Agar has a new job too? I think I read he had signed a new 3 year contract but was that with new the boss? Bringing in Uncle Kath may have made Agar rethink.

There's no doubt in my mind that Lovegrove is the better player. Yeah Poore might have given Farrell and Bailey some black eyes but thats all he did on top of giving penalties away. If Hull KR offer Lovegrove for Poore I'd snap their hands off.

| If Poore leaves we'd have to bring an other experienced prop forward in, most likely big Richie Moore and he has been terrible!! Lovegrove is good yes but I'd rather keep an experienced prop rather than a back-rower where we are okay at the moment.

I agree completely with this. Lovegrove is an very good forward who gets nowhere near the credit he deserves from what I have seen of him, and seems to be getting better as he gets older.
"Poore blindness", it's up there with "Hendo blindness" as the 2nd worse condition of all among a good percentage of Trinity fans. I hope to God he doesn't bust a tackle in a kick off return in a big game or then we could have a new Champion of Champions....
