I would hardly call Dowes,Obst Washbrook ,Lauaki ,Burnett or Phelps "past it"
One or two "liability" yes.

Dowes, Phelps, Burnett aren't any better than what we have. Obst whilst a slight improvement would block the development of Wildie/Davey/Moore who are coming along nicely.

Washbrook and Lauaki may marginally improve us but I'd hope we'd retain Morro or Howarth.

Lauaki is off to Wigan.

Phelps, Dowes, Burnett, Obst and Washbrook would all add alot to our team, and therefore I would be happy if we signed all five. They are not the types of players who will help us to win the Super League, but we can't expect too much too soon. We need a solid, consistent season next year, and those five will certainly aid this.

He is one of the worst RL players I have ever seen - I don't reckon he had ever played the game before he landed. If there is a Lauaki who has this guy stole his identity.

I rarely say this about players but he is gash - so I fully expect to see him at BV next year

If Lauaki improved your team bud,then you would be struggling.There are mixed feelings about him with Hull fans.My own opinion is he is a big pudding.

Not too sure about all 5.......Im pretty sure that Tongia will be a far better option at Full Back, Phelps is solid but Tongia has that excitement factor, and bags more pace.
Never have rated Washbrook so not for me, Dowes has always put 100% in and Burnett not really pulled up any tres at Hull or Quins so am not too bothered to be honest.

Just to explain why I said he'd improve us. As far as i'm aware the only prop we have contracted for next is Hickey, Wilkes too although some may consider him to be a second rower.

Amor shall return to Leeds, Gledhill to Salford, King to Whitehaven (I think), Korki rumoured to Quins.

If Hull want to go the level Warrington Wigan and Sts are at yes you are right with the gates Hull get and the ability to spend the full cap next season and onward I see Hull FC being the next power house in RL maybe not next season it will take time but it will be no stock to me to see Hull win a GF within the next 3 seasons
