I am a great advocate of john kears, he has done stirling work for what is a terminally crap club, however Morrison at 7 last week was a low point for me, maybe he's lost the plot.
I believe that the club is so far up the creek, concentrating solely, on the ground issue that we are rotten to the core.
Having said that 3 wins on the bounce and we're all bouncing!!!! The only thing is I can't see us getting another win, let alone 3!!!
Next week could well be the acid test!

While I understand the frustration of the poor form, I don't get the resentment towards the efforts getting a new ground is breeding.

Even if the RL was mindblowingly brilliant with no ground there is no SL place.

If the grounds comes off i'd gladly accept a poor season as collateral.

Agree,someone said on a other thread we've put our eggs in 1 basket concentrating on the stadium,but as far as i can see that is the only way we will be playing Superleague past next year.But really the fact that we need to get a stadium shouldn't change the level of performance on the pitch.JK and the players can't affect the stadium decision,they can only get on with playing rugby.So saying we are too busy concentrating on the stadium shouldn't change the results on the pitch

ok mate , honest opinion no biases. our season changed when we lost 3 players. 1 through stupidity 1 because he was an absolute plonker who never intended to stay and the other, probably the main reason was brough. the club had been trying to reach a deal with danny for 9 months. he had a few deals on the table. each time the club met his demands he increased them. the last offer he had was exactly what he asked for and still backed off. there were secret meetings i suppose but not at belle vue. danny tried to fry a few fish and finished up where he is now. he never intended imo staying at wakefield, he had his own reasons for going to hudds and if as you say you know then i am sure you will know what i am saying is the truth. jk did his upmost to keep him at wakefield. as i am sure you are aware he rates him highly. we got what we could for him. the best deal possible at the time. cooke was nothing to do with it. we got him on the cheap. end of story. i would have liked danny to stay but that wasn't to be. i support the players that want to play for us however i do have a little smile when i hear the rumours at the galpharm about brown, robinson, drew and 1 or 2 others not hitting it off

Id rather we'd have negotiated for 6 months and then got shot while still standing some chance of getting a replacement. Anyhow, its been discussed to death and whats done is done. We have what we have which unfortunately is simply not good enough.

I have been a big fan of Kear..ill never complain about what he has done for Trinity but i think its time to move on.. We need new ideas... Kear hasnt got them...There are alot of people on here who will argue to death for Kear to stay but how long will you let it go on for?? If we go the rest of the campaign without winning will you still hang on the past and say he should stay?? Not me time for a change..and to not upset the mods this is my honest opinion..as a season ticket holder...

What people seem to have forgotten is that we prior to his coming, we were lost under different coaches, finishing in the lower part of the league and just hanging on (apart from that one season under McNally). Now we have had our 2nd best super league season and one of our best starts to a season. Then due to problems with arguable your two most important players and Newton we have hit a slump. Now the club which includes Kear, the board, and others have attempted to solve the problems, mid-season, which is a brilliant time to be recruiting new players since there are so many available. It is hardly the clubs fault that the only players they could find mid season didn’t turn out exactly how the club would have wanted and mange to fill the shoes left by the departed players.

On the rest of the campaign without wining statement. I still find it hard to believe that many of you seem to believe that we should be making the top 8 in the first place but after one good season things change I guess. If we finish this season without another win I would not be against Kear. For the simple reason there is nothing different anyone could do. Tronc wanted to leave and Brough refused when we offered him what he wanted. Also if anyone is kind enough to point out that that excuse has got old then the simple fact is that although its old its still one of the most relevant points to be made about this season.

However I also don’t believe Kear is perfect. Watching our games the teams he plays and how he uses his interchanges sometimes totally baffles me. But yet there is no better alternative then Kear and I’m more then happy to see him to lead us into the next season and to see how he does with new signings like we should have had this season.

Now I expect many posters to rip this post to pieces and if I have repeated myself managed to get some words wrong then its only to be expected from a post made at this time after a night partying.

I think the decision to stay or go is really a financial one.

Unless JK has another job to go to we'll have to make some kind of settlement of his contract.

Balance this with the potential loss of income from reduced suppport for the rest of this season, at least.

It's up to the clubs management to make that choice.

This is all assuming the worst and that JK cannot turn things around before then.

The problem for us as fans is that we don't really know the fine detail of the ins and outs of the team. We only see the results or lack of. We have some insight. but cannot know everything.

The team and bench selections do seem strange and random at times but we are not privvy to all fitness and form details. Many players have been injured and perhaps more have been playing with injuries, (Moore, Ferguson?)

It seems to me that perhaps JK has become too close personally with the squad and this hinders his objectivity in team selection. Picking players for their commitment rather than specific skills, e.g. Morrison at half-back??

For me we stick with it to the end of the season. Unless Kear has lost the support of the squad, in which case there should be and internal vote of confidence, then we should support him a little longer.
