| Has to be Blaymire for me. Faultless display at the back.
Good shows from Richard Moore and Wilkes too.

Nothing personal - but that is buncum!
That was a very controlled, dynamic, and damaging game of RL. Big hits, hard yards won and nothing (apart from Grix's blunder) given away.
There isn't a player I would automatically drop after that display - although that depends entirely on the performances of those in the second team and how hard they have played for a place.
We may have lost the game - and I would still have said that we had competed well - against strong, not flashy, opposition.

Your going to have to be more specific regarding Grix's blunder - was it dropping the ball on the first tackle 10 meters from our line gifting a try - or overunning on the wing missing a certain try from broughs pass - spilling the ball from the kick off - getting driven backwards every time he took the ball up. He wants to get a hair cut stop doing his mcenroe impression stop thinking he is a big timmer and sort his freaking life out - complete liability.

I was referring to the one that cost us a try!
I reckon he has a technical issue in terms of his running style when approaching impact. Most players tend to crouch a little, this protects themselves and the ball during impact. Scott tends to run a little too upright, hence the defender casn get under him, with the result being that the ball can be dislodged. Ironically I first noted this at the Stoop this year - when the same type of event occurred.
The above issue also accounts for him being driven backwards - but I'll give him this much - he is one brave lad. He keeps coming back for more!

| Gone for Blaymire, but good contributions from Wilkes, Moore, Korki, Bibey and Brad. Got to mention Danny for a great kick under pressure. Snitchy got through a lot of work again, but did look a little tired in second half. Though big Frank struggled today, looked very lethargic in the second period, but think JK was running out of changes with Drew and Martin getting injured. Big 2 points for us.

am sorry mate but totally disagree with that, we had no second phase, it was one out rugby and we was lucky to walk away with two points, we are not playing well at the min, like i said before there was only a hand full of players that could say they played well!!

Still don't buy into that. Others clearly disagree.
I will admit that we could / should have seen a little more second phase, but then again if we had done that, and as a consequence turned the ball over more frequently, then I doubt we would have won the game at all.
Same thing re. the penalty kicks. Some say we shouldn't have taken them when we did. We win by 2 - the difference being the penalty kick. End of argument for me!

Playing well or not, we dominated the game and should have won much easier.......we gave them all their points with a mistake and two poor attempted tackles........they never looked like scoring off their own 'plays'.

Got to agree with that. Although it may be fairer to say our pack dominated the game. Certainly a more positive attitude could easily have seen that match winning try scored much earlier in the second half (there was nothing to suggest Quins would come back from that).

That was the nature of the game as it was played by both sides. We could have just as easily tried a more expansive approach and lost, as we have done on occasion this year.

| thought it was very close between moore blaymire and atkins. atkins was very difficult to bring down at times and made some good half breaks, same can be said for moore.
blaymire was safe as houses all day

| Agree with TRB ( words that are seldom heard or read ) . Our game plan execution was near perfect, As mentioned a couple of passes into touch and one or two costly drops. That said no team will ever play the error free game. Infact it amazes me, when you look at the impact the players take, that the ball is not dropped more often.
I like it when we play a simple no risk game plan, Wigan away, Cas away etc etc. It works for us. We have great kickers and we should be able to nearly always only give the opposition the ball in their own 22, then strong defence and hunt the mistake. The moment we stray from this plan we start to look vulnerable.
I also think that some of the posts on this thread that state that we should have won with more ease are fogetting just how good a defence The Quins have. Their goal line defence was great on Sunday, their line speed was awesome, they did not give our back line any time and space on the ball. It took an interception from Brough and some magic from Drew to break them. They were still defending with great vigour in the last minute. I think it was their young 6, Gale who just backed of his man in that last play that allowed us to get the ball to Grix in space as his winger had to come in to help Gale.
