Would take O'Brien and Lui but seeing as Sheens brought Lui over, he will also end up at KR.
Nial Evalds always looks class, would trade Murdock-Masala for A.Tupou and take Kopzak.
If it's Shudds, Cudjoe has to be in line, Murphy and Ta'ai.
If it's KR, who knows?'"
Kopzak and Murphy are the two stand outs for me.

| if Salford go down players that I would look at are
Robert lui, Gaz o'brian, Ben Murdoch-Masila and Craig Kopczak
If hudds go, got to look at cudjo but one for me a lot will not agree would be Danny brough, I would try and bring him back on the right deal, very good player on his day but looks like he's getting pushed out at hudds now, and with kear been about to maybe put an arm round him kear n Chester could maybe get the best out of him.
If kr go, there not a lot of there players I would look at tbh
We are rumoured to be in for terry campese which I hope we don't get as on his day very good half but it's getting him on the pitch and will be on big wages.

| Terry Campese. Really hope not.
Good player yes. More injury prone than Collis.
Think Broughy past his best now

I tend to agree. The blokes on a right wack at Hull KR and has been consistently inconstant this year, with more poor games than good. Plus everything I've read about him on their board just makes me think he's far too much of a risk for us, especially at the price he'd be wanting. Maybe a team like Wire or someone would take a chance, or he'll go back to the NRL.
If Salford went down I'd defo be making inquiries about Kopczak, Evalds & Murdoch-Masila
Hudds _ Cudjoe would be the obvious one but I'd suspect he'd go to a bigger club. Huby wouldn't be bad choice.
Hull KR - Lunt would be a good signing to rotate at Hooker with Moore. Maybe Adam Walker to add some depth at Prop and wouldn't have thought would be high wage earner
There's probably a few others too.

| I wouldn't have thought there was a chance we'd even look at someone like Campese tbh. I said before he came over, when he first signed for Hull KR that the bloke will spend more time off the pitch then on and thus it's proved. He's been a great player but alas age and injuries have caught up with him. long story short, he's nothing like what we're looking for I'd hope. There's a reason why Hull KR were where they were and not having him playing was a big reason. If your going down that route, Brough would offer more.

| After reading this.
Quote ="Durham Giant"My message to the players
I have been watching the Huddersfield for over 38 years from Fartown to barracudas shuddersfield and Giants.
in that time I have travelled all over the country to watch them play Fulham, Kent, Whitehaven and Perpignan.
I have spent thousands of pounds and thousands of hours driving all over the country.
For years I have driven up and down the A1 so much so that I know it like the back of my hand.
In that time there has been 30 years of failure punctuated by a few highs. A couple of promotions two challenge cup appearances and a LLS.
There have been four good years in Sl.
The rest of the time it has been a litany of failure. Huge losses 60 70 or 80 points drubbings.
Travelling away when less than 30 fans would go to away games.
Games at home when only a few hundred attended. Years of being SL,whipping boys.
In all that time I have put everything Into supporting the club. Hoping one day to be able to say I saw the Giants win something.
Not living off a history that is in the record books so long ago that hardly anyone c'an remember it.
I. Have exerted so much emotional energy and passion into supporting the club. I have been angry frustrated saddened and depressed rarely ever having any positive emotions.
My eyes are full of tears as I write this because I feel the same as when I watched my mum slowly dying of cancer because that is what it is like watching the Giants now.
Slowly watc/hing a loved one die. Knowing there is nothing I can do.
I no longer have the energy or emotional strength to watch .
I texted my sister who went to te game that I was so nervous I could not watch.
Then I did start but after 15 minutes it became unbearable. I turned the game off and deleted it. I could not bring myself to watch it anymore.
I have just cancelled my sky sports. I cannot bear to watch the Giants anymore. I need to hide away because I cannot face what is going to happen. I just want the end to come quickly so I can move on with a new chapter of my life. One where I do not have to put myself through the depression of watching more failure and disappointment.
To enjoy my 50,s and time with my kids as they grow up.
This probably means nothing to you judging by your performances this season so I don't expect anything to change.
All I would hope for no matter what happens is that wherever you are next season you can turn around and if I see you in the street look in my eyes and say you gave everything you had .
How many of you could say that now ?'"
It's got to be Huddersfield for me.

| I fully agree Tricky.
From a mate who I get on same bus to work with. Apparently it is in one of the Rugby League weekly papers, but not sure which though.
Couldn't see us getting Brierley if Huddersfield were to stay up.
For me, I think the best we could hope for if we were the vultures, would be for Salford to go down, and us to go for O' Brien and either Dobson or Lui

| Trying to take any emotion out of who I want to go down and just try and think what would be the best outcome for Wakey. Realistically we will be in the Middle 8 next season. With Leigh in SL the danger sides from the championship will be Bradford and Toulouse plus this seasons relegated SL side . So my thinking would be that it will be good if the SL side that is relegated this season imploded just enough to weaken them to the point of making them noncompetitive. If Huddersfield are relegated I just do not see Ken Davey walking away, I think he will continue to bank role them. It is believed that he ploughs in £ 600,000 every year just to keep them afloat, if Hudds go down Davey will make sure that the team will be a real threat in the middle 8`s. I would not want us playing them in the MPG. Hull KR seem to be getting their act together, Tim Sheens and Peacock will surely get them playing well and will bring in some quality players. I do not imagine that Hudgell will walk away and with KR`s great support they will put a strong team together who again I would want to avoid in a MPG. The big question is will Koulcash walk away from Salford if they are relegated, will his ego allow him to walk. I think Salford going down would represent next seasons middle 8 SL teams best chance of retaining SL status, if and only if Koulcash does walk.

| If I read the league table and points difference correctly, if Leeds beat Huddersfield, all Hull KR need to do to avoid the MPG is put as many points as possible on Featherstone (and win, obviously) and then not lose against Huddersfield by the same margin the following week. If they put a decent score against Fev, that might be too much for Salford.
What struck me about Huddersfield on Saturday, other than how fat Huby looked, was how unhappy and nervy the players looked.

| I have to say Hudds are the favourites to go down.
If they do, they can't possibly keep that squad together.
If I was picking for Trinity, clearly we could do with one of their centres as it isn't our strongest area but all their 3/4 will be courted by other teams.
McGillivray will be on his way if he wants to keep his England shirt, as will Cudjoe.
Not sure about Murphy. I've always liked him but we are stocked on wingers now and he hasn't made the move to centre that people thought he would.
Wardle is interesting. I can see them keeping him but he is worth a shot for another team.
The half backs are interesting. Clearly Brough at his best could pick his team but he isn't at his best right now. He's a great player and I'd love to see him take over from Finn when Finn steps down, but even though he could probably lap Finn on the way to a try, I rate Finn's character and leadership as more valuable than that so not sure Brough is the guy.
Ellis I like but I can't see him coming to us and Brierley isn't good enough to be leader yet in my opinion, though I'd clearly take him.
The forwards I don't think are all that (in terms of breaking the bank to get them) They've had injuries this year and it looks pretty shot now. Huby would be the one you'd think of but he looks well off his game. The form version of Huby would be my pick of the forwards. Lawrence will be targeted by others and the rest are no better than we have. Certainly the front rowers aren't.
If Salford go down I'd happily take half of their team. Lui when fit was unstoppable. Kopczak would be a nice addition to our front row and O'Brian is clearly good and would fit us perfectly but a bit lightweight. They could probably afford to keep their team together though, and if not would be on big wages anyway.
We don't have Vulture type wallets at Wakefield so we'll have to take what is offered to us, but clearly some players are going to be available soon.

| The qualifiers take another twist with London beating Salford.
Next week could see Salford not even attaining the MPG if they lose to Batley away and London beat Fev at home.
So glad we only have the Super 8's to moan about.
