too true but I don't hide behind my nickname and many know me on here, also I don't rip into the club at every given chance to try and cause as much unrest as possible

I am actually providing a service because remember the number of posts praising the previous regime and how that turned out. Well now I am trying to temper the same hero worship from the same people until such time as the board prove themselves worthy of such adulation. The supporters have held only one meeting with MC, the rest is based on selected answers to selected questions on the web site.
I would suggest you wait and see how things turn out over the season before I would get too carried away.

Very few did. Only when the CCJ's and WUO's started to filter through did suspicions begin to take (Vastman and Cas fans notwithstanding). At the time many who raised concerns were disregarded. Strangely AGENTXIII wasn't one of them (apprently the CJJ's and WUO'S were not a reason to question the actions of the previous board).

I, for one, made the false assumption that a successful business man, skilled in marketing, would apply his obvious skills in those areas in to running my beloved club successfully.
I do not feel any shame.
I am only a fan and have no knowledge of the inner machinations of the running of the club.

Not really, but I believe through my involvement with the club and through the Supporters Trust that this is what we ought to have done.

I'm not sure what we could have done, but maybe, by bring the issue to light earlier, we could have limited the damage to some degree.

If half of the stuff wasn't going through the books then i would suggest it would have been nearly impossible for ousiders to influence the egotists that were running the show.
If the accountant didn't know half of what going on, how could anyone else lay a legitimate claim to having a convincing handle on it and then change the minds of people who were knowingly running the club like a runaway train.
Sure there were signs the CCJs and rumoured money worries etc but the people at the helm did their utmost to cover it all up.

I think we all so badly wanted it to be true - that we could finally put our years of strife behind us and see the club run in the way we would have liked it to be. I think this is why it pains us so much that the promise was false and now, more than ever before, the sceptical Wakefield public will be difficult to convince that anyone will ever get this right.

MC is clearly under the pump just now, and is enduring a steep learning curve. If he can combine his financial skills with the ability to connect to the wider public then, in time, he will win people over, but his predecessors could not have done much more to make this a very tough role to fulfil.

In a nutshell.

Yes TRB ,I fully understand how you and others so closely involved in trying to promote our club and make its future secure,feel so dreadfully let down.
But because of all you have done I feel there is no need to feel any shame.
Anger and frustration yes.

Maybe how things were being run was why the board were reluctant to have a closer involvement with the supporters trust. There's not much anyone could do whilst they were kept in the dark and fed xxxx. I guess we were blinded by the positivity after the recent troubles and wanted to believe things had turned for the better. Questions should always be asked. Hopefully the new board will be more welcoming to the ST.

I'm pretty sure that the Supporters Trust did raise some concerns over the CCJ's and WUO's and were "fobbed off" with what seemed like reasonable explanations but turned out to be complete fabrications.

I guess where we were at fault is in wanting to believe the explanations that were given, but if someone is telling you what you want to hear then it's much easier to believe what they're saying than if they tell you what you don't want to hear. That's human nature I guess.

And for that reason, and within reason, I don't think we should cast out of hand the questions raised on here - albeit we need to be conscious of any alternative agendas in play!

If other members of the board could not control AG's ego & spends what hope do simple supporters have??

I remember the first few meetings the ST had with the club and it was made that the only help that they needed was a few ideas of what the club could do for the fans, nothing was required as far as helping the club as everything was going to be fine and dandy so it should leave anyone with any guilty conscience about questioning saying something earlier.

None of the people involved with the trust have any reason to feel anything but proud to have tried to take this club forward.

Being a bit harsh on yourself.

They say that the calmest place in a Hurricane is the eye of the storm - where you usually are my friend - it's deceptively peaceful - having distanced myself of late it's much easier to see stuff.

However I've lost my desire for the club and game (temporary I hope) - and I feel a little bit ashamed of that - truth is we have both (and others) done our best but without two pennies to rub together fans can only do so much.
