I was actually quite worried when we beat Hull and then Widnes that all the "euphoria" would stop the alternate view posts. Luckily we are not out of the woods yet so the discussions go on.
If everybody agreed with me, I'd probably stop posting. Clearly that will not happen!..........but at the same time, I'm right and don't understand why you can't see it



As for Scruton, I haven't made my mind up. He gets through a lot of work both in attack and defence and is very solid. We all seem to expect more because he is a big well known lad but he seems to vary his work. Sometimes he hits hard and makes ground, sometimes he hits slow and gets a quick play the ball. He sometimes seems to jog up slowly from standing start which looks like he isn't putting the effort in but the stats clearly show over the whole game he is putting a lot of effort in.
I hope he has a big game against Bradford. He needs to nail his Trinity colours to the mast on this one. Anything less than his best game and I'll be disappointed.

I would rather we "rested" Scruton for the Bradford game.

Surely you would expect any player to come in for some criticism if they are not playing to scratch.
I'm surprised the list isn't longer.
On current form, there are fewer players getting close to their potential, than there are under performing, hence we've had our backsides spanked for the last fortnight.
Once again, we've gone from a decent 2 games and followed up with 2 poor performances.

Agree with this. Not sure he will be in the right frame of mind given he never wanted to leave them, plus I don't think he is putting enough effort in regardless of what the stats may portray

Yes.
He has acknowledged that his form was not up to scratch and in his own words he was'useless'.
He now says past is past and is a Trinity player 'now looking forward to playing some good stuff'.

I would definitely play him - he's a professional RL player and what sort of message would he be sending out if he plays dumb in a game like this one.
This is a MUST win game, otherwise we have pressure all season, which we don't want. Surely the players will not need outside motivation for this one! all we need then is a game plan and the right players in their right position!

Actions speak louder than words Mr Scruton so lets see some action instead of words. Would I play him yes its his job and he needs to impress he is after a contract for next year be that at Wakey or another club.

But who is? The result is the team as a whole are not playing together

After today I'm willing to call round at the club and take him back to Bradford myself. I know others were lacking effort today but Scruton was pathetic.
He should have scored in first half (and I can almost guarantee if he'd been still wearing a Bradford shirt today he'd have gone for the line) but just didn't seem bothered in trying.

It was funny watching him substituted, to then walk to the Bradford dugout before pausing, looking up and swearing to himself before turning around to go to the away dugout.

I didn't think he was that bad for you today - He doesn't show the 'fire' I'm used to seeing with Scruton, but he held his hand up to trundle forward, and often made decent meters.

He could have sat down there for me, permanently.

To be fair Scruton was no we're near our worst player today.

He made some good hard yards, and didn't see him fall off a tackle, although he does look a shadow of the player I saw at Bradford! Looks lazy ! Which is highly frustrating for us fans !

Honestly can't believe the article I read the other day in the press about how Scruton not wanting to leave Bradford and how it's going to be hard to play against them this weekend, where paying his chuffing wages ! End off ! I for one don't want a player at wakefield that doesn't want to be here in the first place ! Especially when they make it so obvious, so I will be glad to see the back of him at the end of the season and replace him with someone who wants to play for us! Unless his attitude dramatically changes !

On the other hand I thought Scott Andersons first stint was his best in a wakefield shirt. Easily our most consistantly good player this season, good to see extend his stay.

Its always hard to believe any professional player would not 'give their all' and more.
If only I had been good enough to be a professional player.
Can not imagine that I would of ever 'coasted'.
But then again in my professional life there were many who often did 'just enough' or less.
