Might be a silly question, but why the need for wrist bands, for Northstanders?

I thought the north stand had a capacity of more than 1500. Wonder if the dreaded ground safety officers have paid us a recent visit.

The reason given was to prepare for the demolition of the East Stand which is strange because it will be that gate that will not be needed so why not wait until after the Wigan game. When the work starts it must impact the proposed North Stand entrance when the gates that are no longer in operation would be a better option. I think this smacks of instructions from the authorities and more safety related. I may be wrong but I didn’t see which gate will be used to access the new temporary stand.

It looks like a test run of the arrangements that need to be in place for when the East stand disappears.

I would expect each area to be blocked off stopping any movement between stands. The club will have been told not to exceed 1500 supporters in the North Stand. To do this the dedicated gates will have 1500 identification tags and once used up entry will be stopped.
I think this is more being told to do it rather than a dry run of anything.

Well it’s looking like that’s put pay to all the doom n gloom merchants that said the building work was all pie in the sky and would never get started . It truly makes me wonder why people bother to support the club at all with the constant berating of everything at the club . Yes there is Room for improvement in most aspects of the club especially on the playing front , but the constant negative and at times hate filled comments aimed at everything and everyone associated with the club must be withering to say the least ,and probably the main reason Carter stays well clear of social media . We’ve been in far worse holes than this, and come through the other side ,let’s hope for positive signs on the field against Hull and hopefully more positivity from all the supporters.

You think quite a lot you and then make a narrative to your thoughts and then think it's facts.

Why should my conclusions not be correct because I don’t remember the club saying it was just a dry run like others have suggested. We only have to wait until Sunday to see how it works but if it is a dry run which you obviously like to believe why no suggested gate for entry to the temporary stand.

Just to prove my point I have not said anything about my view but you point out what you think I believe you want to consider evidence before jumping to conclusions!

The temporary stand isn’t due to be erected until required for the home gam v Toulouse Saturday July 9th.
I would imagine access will be via East paddock gate A, until demolition takes place at that end of stand. There may have an alternative access from the rear of hospitality boxes.

You want the club to trial entry arrangements to a stand that doesn't exist yet?

I wouldn’t turn up to watch us a Belle Vue on the 9th July if i was you!

I hope people are not expecting too much from the temporary seating, if anyone can remember the open seating at HKR for away supporters before their new stand was built, I think our temporary seating will be something like tha.

I imagine people are expecting a seat.

In that case you won’t be disappointed, but I wouldn’t expect much more, perhaps you may need to invest in a umbrella.

Seriously, I would have hoped for the style of temp stand that Leeds used, stationed along the West terrace, but hey ho.

Email from the club begins:

"In preparation for work commencing on the East Stand, Wakefield Trinity are making important changes to our matchday procedures, effective immediately."

Well, rain is forecast for this afternoon, and knowing our luck it will rain on our home match days, particularly start of next season in winter months. I just thought a cover, a type of canvas over the seats, similar to the London Bs had at Trailfinders stadium. I can remember when HKR had open air seating for the away fans before the new stand was built, it always seemed to rain there when we played.

Can't be any worse than the last game at Headingley when it bucketed it down. We are like that cartoon strip kid with the cloud permanently above us both metaphorically and literally.
