We all know it's the beginning of the end of the Salford name.
The new logo makes no reference to the City of Salford- the club will be rebranded as Manchester Red Devils once the dust has settled.

The difference between existing top clubs like Leeds, Wigan etc and Salford ,Huddersfield is :- Leeds, Wigan etc have a big fan base and great merchandising so if their main benefactor goes they can carry on, where as such as Huddersfield if anything happened to Ken Davy they would really struggle because their fan base is not big enough to sustain the top level.
So my advice to Huddersfield and Salford is enjoy what you have got now, live for the moment.

The things I'm most alarmed about are the following 3 words... water, park, Salford.

They have a indoor snow centre just over the rd in Trafford so why not a water park in. Salford?

I just presume that by water 'park' he means it will be outdoors. Salford isn't renowned for it's Mediterranean climate.

I wish Salford well biggest club in world RL it will never happen RL in the UK the way we are going the sport will not survive at pro level and there will be just one code within 20 years that wont be RL

The part of the good doctor's speech that resonated most with me (far more than all the posturing that we will be the 'world's biggest club') was that the club will no longer be a breeding ground for the bigger clubs to come and pinch our best players. With the greatest respect, I don't think he was aiming this at Wakefield, moreso the likes of Leeds (Moon), Hull (Holdsworth), Warrington (Ratchford, Myler) and Wigan (Smith). If he takes his ball home in 5 years time, having put us in the position whereby we are no longer easy-pickings, that'll do for me.

Good luck in your continued efforts to turn your club round. This time last year I left the Leigh Sports Village with little hope, and similar words of comfort from a couple of Wakefield fans who were about to embark on the playoffs. It's amazing what a difference a year can make. Onwards and Upwards.

the comments was made league wide but he vented it at Agar comments who coaches Wakefield and he had the nerve to try and get more than he has just signed from Wakefield so I suppose its a case of how bigger club we are

Well I was at the re-launch so know exactly what Dr Koukash said. Yes he directly asked Richard Agar to back up his accusations or else apolgise officially.

The separate statement regarding having our players taken was aimed at the whole league (or even rugby world). It was basically a statement that due to the improved financial position he is trying to place us in, Salford will no longer be there to have our talent picked off by any of the bigger clubs. If you think he was aiming that solely at Wakefield, so be it.

if you read it again what I put it states exactly what you said but he found it easy to try and plunder our players knowing that we are in a similar position to what Salford was in the past.
