As far as we understand - bearing in mind that the deal offered 6 weeks ago was never put in writing - no - and that is a fundamental issue for us!

Is it possible to make more public your explanation/clarification of the situation or does that affect the legal advice being taken?'"
We will in due course but we do not want to predjudice our position legally.
I may have said more than I should have but I got totally peed off with hearing that the Club want a stadium totally free of charge at the ratepayers expense and then be able to generate all the income from it. Running the stadium will cost a substantial sum.

It should because funding is still supposed to be coming from the uplift in value at Newmarket.

| So Manni Hussain is posting cryptic messages on twitter.
'If you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything' and 'So many assume, so little know.'
Whilst he's right I do wonder who he's calling out. It could easily be Box and Co but as a developer he will obviously have to keep them onside.
Also I see Carter has quoted Hussain on his twitter too. Whether it's a little dig or just what he genuinely believes I don't know.

| I see only one loser and that is Wakefield Trinity. Twitter is going a little Donald Trump, and based on what I have read 88m are correct we have not signed a contract for next season but continue to sell season tickets.
I know the club will refund any money paid but not the best plan for budgeting.
I hope it sorts itself out but currently I fear the sides are entrenched and the only side with little room to manoeuvre is the club.

Trinity hold the majority of the cards here, we all need each other but without us it's a no goer, it's becoming pretty obvious now, it's Hussain who needs to hold his nerve, if we don't get what we want we can play else where, like most trin fans I just want to watch my home town club play, I don't need a shiny stadium for that
Everyone not related to the club just wants to make money out of this and without us you're all screwed
Or are you telling me Hussain bought the ground for the good of his health to give back to us freely?
Hussains pathetic comments about the club selling tickets with no where to potentially play are pathetic and shows he knows NOTHING of the fans of wakefield trinity and our struggles
And your comments about the club giving money back for tickets....... seriously

| As the document that was passed by the government on new market been circulated to the press . Think it would show people what Mr Carter is fighting for ,and show jo public that he does not wants to pay nothing as it looks like by the council statement. Think it would show how corrupt business people are.If jo public pulled tried to pull the same stunt on the government they would end up in jail

You reckon? You believe Manni would be crying into his balance sheet if he could no longer charge rent for a ground and instead had to build residential and commercial units on Belle Vue, bringing in much higher sale and leasehold incomes? That those in charge of the council would care if we took our ball elsewhere? Really?

| Still not much clarity. Please in 2 sentences why have talks stopped?
How will talks move forward. What do we need who shall we put pressure on? Protest demonstration?
Too much talking has now gone on for 8 years. Actions speak louder than words

Slugger has covered the first part of your rather misguided post quite nicely, we really don’t hold a very good hand here. And i think you’ll find most Trinity fans want their team to be playing in a nice stadium in Wakefield as not doing for any length of time equals a slow death. And as for the tickets comment Michael Carter has already said anybody wanting a refund on season tickets bought should we move can have it so i don’t know what you are getting at there? There might not be many that ask but i bet there are some.

| We currently have no ground confirmed for next season. If we continue with our current negotiation techniques then we are heading to Dewsbury.
I hear some of you saying good that will show those Labour councillors we don’t need them or the 88M group.
The problem is that we can only stay at Dewsbury for one season and then only if we have a plan in place to move to a SL standard ground.
That’s the tricky bit because we don’t and never will have not in Wakefield anyway. The majority support the club because it is in Wakefield and we were born or live in the area.
I look forward to how this puts us in a strong position and if we continue how is it going to be resolved without the help of the council and 88M.
I have a question, the original agreement with Newmarket was that we paid a peppercorn rent but retained all the income generated. The redevelopment of Belle Vue is surely a new agreement therefore would the above not be subject to renegotiation

The ground is a pot of gold for Hussain, just waiting for him almost within touching distance, we just need to stay calm a bit longer and as fans put our trust in Michael.
He has never once let any of us down since he took over and I think each time he has made a move regarding the ground it's got us a bit further on
Yes there are alternate routes for making money from Belle vues owner but it's within everyone's interests to get it redeveloped with us playing there for the next 100 years not the lengthy process of turning it in to a housing estate

100 percent spot on, hussain has invested going on over a million and closer to 2,000,000 between the two sites (fact) so why would he do it if he wasn't going to make money.? Reality is like musson i now live outside the area and in truth barnsley, newmarket , dews bury, belle vue are one and same to me from a geographic perspective
Just cant see how the club are going to unravel this and move forward - are they really going to go to court with 88 - dilapidations, the council - alleged breach of contract, york court ditto its so **** ing dispiriting after probably the best season since we won the yorkshire cup.

Seriously? I think you'll find trin fans care a lot about where we play, they want it to be in the city of Wakefield, this is why all this is going on. Thats not to say they won't watch them elsewhere but to say they don't care is just wrong. I guess there's a good chance we'll all find out soon enough anyway, the first season out of the city will be ok but then as time passes the fans will slowly drift away as the affinity between club and city becomes less and less. It has happened with other clubs, it will happen with this one as well.
And no Manni didn't buy BV for the good of his health, he bought it to make money. He doesn't need us for this to happen, in fact he couldn't give two hoots about us. Now he could make MORE money by this scheme going through which is why he is playing the game but he could make plenty enough by moving on without us and sticking housing & student accomadation on it. Don't think for a minute he is bothered about the time taken, 88M are big into land banking and will wait as long as needed. But if it looks like it isn't going to go his way he'll push the stadium scheme into touch and go in a different direction that doesn't involve us without a second glance. Thats why he is a wealthy businessman and we are sat here talking about him on a forum.
