He is actually correct IMO. What is the point in having a player Bibbs size if we don't use him. Opinions are split as to whether Bibb will make it but we will never find out unless we play him. Truth is, like it or not Bibb has the size and if JK can turn that potential into performance he is a far better option than Hendo. Is that not the truth.

No point playing Hendo in the front row other than in an emergency. He will never ever be a prop, he is and will always be a hard working utility forward of reasonable quality.

Bibb needs to show us what he has got or be shown the door, sooner rather than later. Pussy footing around won't help him or us. When we are a prop down he needs to be available and be used, otherwise whats the point.

Run with him on sunday and see how it goes.

I take your point, and what you say is in theory absolutley spot on, but IMHO Bibb has been given chances and not really taken them. For what it's worth I am of the opinion that if JK and Beans continue to work with KB he has the pottential and size to do a decent job for us in the front row, but right at the moment in time I would utilise KH instead as a stop gap, his lack of size is more than made up for with his desire/attitude/work rate/defence.

KH is not an ideal option at prop, but he puts his body on the line and runs the ball in hard.

How many props actually bust tackles anyway? The modern game is as much about hitting the right area's of the man you are running at and then working from the floor quickly (i.e. quick PTB) to get the team on a roll.

I can see where your coming from regarding Bibb needing some game time etc but dropping Henderson for Bibb would be ridiculous IMO I can only guess you didnt go to the Harliquins match or seen the DVD. Henderson was one of our better players on Saturday. If your going to drop anyone for Bibb, IMO it has to be one of Newton, Obst, Latu purely on the fact that we can afford to drop one of the three.

No need to drop Hendo, Bibb is the 5th choice prop so as such straight replacement for Moore on the day. Or we go as last week with King replacing Moore, both work.

I never replied to his post, I was pointing out the folly of OV's reply. The issue is not who you pick out of the two, for me it's fact that people want to pick a utility forward over a genuine prop. I find that a ludicrous situation for us to be in. I'd rather find out once and for all if he's up to the job. If not then we all move on.

Catalans first trip of the season new players new habits,takes some settling down plus this is the first hit out of the season and the first real cold weather they've had. Don't think we can afford to have King, Demetriou and Johnson all in the 17 due to them being short of fitness.

Bibb gets the nod for the reasons already mentioned by other posters.

I wouldn't risk aggravating Newtons injury even if he could play, let him have an extra week to heal.

Folly? To say that Bibb has had plenty of chances, I think there might be a few Trinity fans that may understand my sentiment. FWIW I would actually think about picking Trout if I had the choice because he can play s/r or prop and has done well in the games he has played.

I note that many on here are impressed with the Catalans pack which is fair comment. Their back line is very talented also. World class full back in Greenshields, Quality wingers with Walker and Pelo ( Pelo is an amazing try scorer ) Big strong centres and great halfbacks.

I think I want it to rain all day Sunday except half time when the singer is on. I think we can match them up front, the the key will be our kicking game we need to make them play from their try line.
