BARLA cup: East Leeds 40 - Oulton Vikings 16. Vikings leading 16-12 10 minutes in to the 2nd half more than matching East Leeds with the rugby we played, game got away from us as their physicality proved the difference. Pleasing performance from our boys.

Siddal u14s lost 10-6 against East Hull in Barla cup.

Panthers and Crigg fought out a 16-16 draw, I only saw the second half but it was certainly physical on what I saw!!!!

Well if you only saw the 2nd half you saw most of the game, 38mins, dunno how a ref manages to find 8mins of extra time in a 30min per half game especially when you only play 25 mins in the first half



Good game though and 2 evenly matched teams fighting it out in the main in a sportsman like manner

This game was recorded has a league game on Yorkshire juniors.

Like I said I didn't see the first half but ill take your word that the second half lasted 38 mins. That Said there were a few stoppages during the half which would account for some time and it wasn't as though the panthers scored on the last play both teams had at least 3 sets to try and win the game.

I'll agree it was a good game with a bit of biff too. A lot of the lads get on off the field and I'm sure they are all mates again, it must be strange for the lads on training camps who are team mates on Saturday and best of enemies on Sunday it all makes for a good game.!!

Ay , and according to the guy who updates all leagues for Pitchero Under 14s Automated sites the YJL informed him it was a League game Along with East Leeds ect .

Does anyone on here know if Girls teams are unable to play pre-game on match days, possibly to do with changing facilities etc? Cheers in advance....

I believe it was played as a double header,sanctioned by the YJL.

Cas dont pose a threat rugby wise. Criggs fowards dominated and if they were like minded someone might of got hurt. Rugby is not soft but neither is it punch from behind . East Leeds or West Hull will not roll over and i stand by this Cas have had a easy start and the first test they have failed .

What do you call failure??? These are 14 year old lads winning trophies isn't the be all and end all. Getting has many kids into the next system should always come first. There are some really good players in both teams and some will be team mates far sooner than you think so I don't see the need for bitterness.

It was a point gained for both sides on the board . And after a very physical over spill on the field the lads were shaking hands with mutual respect after the game.

Next stop for us East Hull , it just seems never ending lol. Hardest league ever.

Has anyone heard when the schools year 9 final between Cas High and Kettlethorpe is ?

I wouldn't want it any other way,I've said it before and I'll say it again the hull sides are a great addition to a already strong league that will only make players better.

Cas are playing today in national cup over in Wigan so I presume it won't be until they are out of that.


I'll post the score later the yr 10s are over at Wigan in the semi final at the same time.

Not this year they were well beaten 30-16 against a well drilled St. John fisher school.

Yr 10 faired better reaching the national cup final with a convincing win.

Panthers 14s beat hunslet warriors 24-22,a bit of a mixed bag from the panthers but a game they were always in control of was made harder than it should of been.

If posting this upsets people because I also support Crigg then tough titty, I watched shaw x years ago . I watched 2 stanley games on Saturday and a Emley game the week before with my nephews. I love Rugby League I dont have to tune into just 1 club.
