| Seen some tweets from Agar's press confrence which say Briscoe and Crowther could make their debits so sounds like we may have some fresh legs.
I have seen a bit of Crowther and I like him and he looked good in the friendlies but what a game to make your debut in.

| I have to say Wigan will be step ahead of us, even if they drop a few for rest.
Catalan and London I'm positive about.

Yeah definitely think we have a reasonable chance against Catalan, London shouldn't be too much of a problem but will need to make sure the players don't underestimate them. Looking further forward, even Saints at home and HKR away are winnable games.

| It's time to do our talking on the pitch. We know on our day we can beat anyone but our inconsistency has baffled me for longer than I can remember. We looked like a decent team 2nd half v Salford then it all went pear shaped when we played Bradford. We'll probably beat Wigan then come up short against Catalans. Whatever happens, you can always guarantee a roller coaster ride, a win when you don't expect it then a dropped ball fest and struggle the next time. If over the next few weeks we can get a steady level of performance I will be happy because the results will come. We have some firepower now to create chances, let's see us playing for 80 minutes not in fits and starts and we'll be fine.

However I[size=150 would say that our first choice [uavailable[/u 1 to 5 is probably the worst we have ever had in SL[/size, just compare that to the players Wigan have. That's where they will find our weakness and will win the game.
Then again I hope I am made to look foolish on Monday morning

Get out of it, I clearly remember a back line that contained both Paul White, a very young Luke George and Austin Buchannan and I can't believe we can do worse than that.

Saints at home ?
I don't think many teams will get over the top of Saints this season.
IMO they are real contenders this term so, I wont be expecting anything from them.
Their pack is possibly the best in the comp !

I would say our current wingers are better than in a few games in 2007 when we had Paul White and Wayne Pryce.

Never mind possibly, it is the best pack in the league.
Salford will find out tonight.

Did they all play together, can't remember ?
Anyhow I'd have a young Luke George in a flash in front of our two wingers. When he first came he looked a fantastic prospect and scored some spectacular trys. Trouble is ,as he got older he went downhill rapidly

| Quote ="malpalu"Get the impression there are some on here who prefer the moaning to the rugby. Agree in part, Wigan could be tired and some of our team might recognise each other now, after a ten days working together and everyone writing us off, we have nothing to lose. It's worth remembering though it's very early days for this squad, we lost a lot of experience but we've gained a few players with a point to prove. It's all part of the roller coaster of being a Trinity fan isn't it?'"
As a moaner, I would like to say I don't love it, not at all. I have been going to watch Trinity...and it took some working out, what with me being a boy and my Dad being 94, since 1970 (thanks to Mike Rylance's history fo helping me work that out), and we have had a few moments of joy but masses of frustration, disappointment and incompetence by people who have come into our club. Some meant well but had no idea..the majority. Some I'm not so sure meant well. Either way, we have been let down and a club with enormous potential, languishes forever in the doldrums...and it makes me SCREAM!! It makes me get warnings of excommunication fom El Rey for badly disguised swearing. I love the club. It is in my guts and soul. I despair fo the never ending stream of bad decisions that take us up to threatening to where we ought to be...then straight back down to the same old failure. I will always be there but Jeez ...it taxes ones patience...love moaning??? Are you kidding? I yearn fo the day when we make good business decisions, good plans, good coaching appointments and good signing decisions...but my memeory and Mike Rylance tells me history suggests we are not great at this.

| Furthermore, I don't expect the 60's. I only expect a reasonably consistent, reasonably organised and disciplined side, competetive and committed. I remeber being very proud of us when we lost 2-21 or something like that against Warrington, under Kears post administration year, in awful weather and cheering the team off the pitch for as good an effort as you could have asked for. A brilliant performance with no result in terms of points. Bradford last Thursday was appalling and took me back to some dark days. I really hope you optimists are right but the early signs wory me a lot. So, no us moaners do NOT love it

| The Wigan game for me is a chance for the side to build some confidence in itself. On a fast flowing pitch such as Wigan's which is perfect for fast flowing rugby unlike ours last Thursday, this game will be a bigger telling factor of where our squad really is compared to last week. We simple were not willing to grind out the arm wrestle created by conditions last week similar to the Featherstone game, which is obviously a worry. Nevertheless, this game should hopefully give a more truer insight into where we really stand this season.

Come on then, money where mouth is
It's not too late to join. You can use your byes for the first 2 rounds (=8 points) and you've only missed one fixture this week.
Get you predictions posted on the other thread and sort out a donation with kinley cat.
All you need is some positive thinking and you'll be top of the league in no time.
Personally, I can't see a win this week, but it's about improving performance, increasing confidence, getting to know each other and finding combinations that work. I'll be listening, nice 11pm kick-off

As a long termer know how you feel.
At times it really is so difficult to remain positive.
Must be really easy being a Leeds/Wigan fan.
Like yourself it is the waste of the enormous potential that really ,really, really, frustrates me.

Yeah I think it was the first time in either code within the UK that the whole back line was made up of black player White - Atkins - George - Buchannen. I think it was those 4, TRB will remember.
I luke George but he was physically slight at that time.
