I see Max Jowitt making a first class full back - he's almost there now. TJ is there already, in his position and I see no reason why the others in this crop of youngsters can't make it. They all look the part and I've said before, I have never seen such a talented group of youngsters all coming through at more or less the same time - so 1873 does work!

Dagger and Oats would've been in the squad if they'd stayed but money and influence dictates otherwise. I'm sure one of them will get a run out in the Championship next season, the other at Wolves only time will tell,Pinder & Summers I can't comment at this moment in time.

Dagger and oaks were given the biggest offers this club has ever made to scholarship kids. they decided their future lay elsewhere. Absolutely their prerogative. Think the last feedback I got, was they wanted to be at clubs with less threat of relegation.........

Pinder and summers were both made decent offers. One of them went elsewhere for 500 quid more. I appreciate that money talks for some, but I also want kids who actually want to stay in our environment. Academy costs 240k a year. Club 1873 currently contributes 36k of that.

Better that the lads being unemployed, they've had a tough enough Christmas and new year, at least most SL clubs would be able to offer them more stability than they currently have or are likely to get in the near future

Could only see Trinity interested in O'Brien although Sidlow is decent but got plenty of props.

Chisholm is good utility value covering 1,6 &7 and wouldn't count on quota. Good try scoring record for KR and Bulls.

I'm pretty convinced we'll get nobody from Bradford, and in all honesty I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. It would show a level of commitment to the 30 lads we already have, it shows that the club have confidence in their abilities and don't want to go hunting for extras to fill the squad

That being said, I'd hope the club was considering offering some of their academy lads a spot, just as I'd hope every academy was willing to help the young lads continue in the sport
