If found to be at fault we have to follow the prescience set by the club. At least we retained the club comment piece on automatic download because we have had to use it so many times.
I think we may need to possibly increase the number of players we are looking to sign. I don't see Finn and the young lad being enough to fill such a central position. We have enough utility players but for one of the main pivots we need a specialist.

dunno about that, seems to me club did there best with owen and the various problems he had sadly culminating in a pretty bad car accident.

As regards moore innocent until proven guilty but it doesn't sound like he ll be playing anywhere next year

Another attempt to make an issue where there isn't one. The club supported Owen through his rehab and subsequent injuries what more do you want ffs. Truth is Owen is just an unlucky player and his time in the elite levels was just plain over, sad but it happens so the club announcement was spot on.

I'm not talking about announcing his release- fair enough. I'm talking about tagging it on to an announcement about a player being involved in a police incident -like its relevant, or as an afterthought!

I agree Jools, it surely wouldn't have taken too much longer to write two separate press releases, perhaps even a short Bio on Owen to cover his departure

Why for goodness sake, the incident involving him and Germond will be reason he is going, final straw. it seems like he was given plenty of chances, club gone way beyond what most employers would have in the industry I work in. They stood by him when he went to rehab, they stood by him when he relapsed, they stood by him when he felt down and depressed and neede time off etc etc. It is not the club who should be putting out a bio about him, he should be shouting it out loud how fantastic the club have been in supporting him etc etc. We owe him nothing.

I agree with all that. But I do think the point is correct about the announcement.
We don't have to laud him a legend but if we are going to announce it at all, it should be separate from Moore's announcement.

Do you know for certain we didn't!!! More often than not press releases are usually edited or shortened. We probably sent two but it was easier for the press just to lump them together.
