to be fair neither have I , I think its harsh on kids to except them to play rugby and then football and get annoyed when players miss training or games when another sport takes first choice . when kids have 2 sports at the weekend this means 1 is not as important as the next yet to most of the rugby and football team they play with its the most important thing in the world . not for me at all ,However that's my choice Im sure you and others who put kids through this know better than me .

yes it seems very hard to find anything out about the humberside clubs except im sure they play with lots of enthusiasm and joy . should be a great day out and hopefully we get to move our game to midweek .

No other games scheduled for the cup weekend ( certainly not U12's anyway - don't know about any other age group ..soz) thus avoiding the 2 games in 2 days scenario . Can enjoy a lovely day out in Hull now



There's also a game going to be scheduled for the Grand Final weekend , but you can call it off if need be .

at under 13 and below rugby as you know is saturday and football sunday so no conflict at these age groups. my son has jacked football this year to solely play rugby which was his decision because training for both was on a tuesday.

i hope you are right ernie with cas high scheduled to play outwood on thursday we would be back to 3 games in 4 days which is way too much for anyone,has of wednesday i was told that we had to play the league fixture that would be scheduled for that weekend.

it will also affect those teams who havent entered the barla cup with 3 rounds played in oct and 2 in november what do the clubs that arnt in it doif league games are suspended.

big ask from the lads to step up now and finish games off rather than sit back and lose them from a comfortable lead.

at last we are up and running and have some points on the board after a 28-18 win against eastmoor.6 tries against 3 tells its own story, some really impressive scores too with some fluent rugby catching eastmoor outwide although we had to come from 14-18 down mid way through the second half and both sides were down to 12 men with 1 sent off for eastmoor and 1 in the sin bin for us although it wasnt a dirty game tbh.

unfortunately for crigg they suffered the bitter taste of defeat for the first time and without taking the gloss away from a well drill east leeds side it can not go without being mentioned that a well know referee around the circuit under the guise of Mr Bean yet again tried making up for his lack of talent by yet again taking centre stage and leaving both teams and coaches bewildered with decisions and hand and arm movements that make john mccririck look like hes taken an overdose of smarties and skittles and washed it down with 500 litres of red bull. the fool ruined an entertaining match and was solely responsible for both red cards that crigg got imho , and to mock a disability of a member of crowd

is well ....lets say not in any of the RESPECT pages ive ever read.

nothing should be taken away from the east Leeds kids and its always sad to see when parents are slating the way the way it was referred as it looks like your bitter losers , no today crigg were poor and east leeds had desire and possibly stuck to a game plan and played more as a team and not as a single . looks like more key players out .

Its always been hard getting a win over that way with this joker in the middle, he lives on another planet.

the other game in group 1 finished stanningley 12 lock lane 14,reliably informed that it was 3 tries a piece.

just goes to show how tough this group is the only unbeaten side is now lock lane although for the second week running they won by virtue having kicked more goals than their opponants.

also sad to hear when a referee can cause so much hassle and undo the hard work that coaches and players put in during the week for their own ego trip,we have had all had these kind of refs and i like most pull my hair out "not that ive got much".anyway cup games next week and something a little different to build upon.

well done to the Oulton U14s that took today's game 20-22 in a close encounter, this was by far the better we have played against them and was quite enjoyable

I got a text that Normanton U14s took the once brilliant side Hunslet Parkside apart 58-4 and has now from what I have been told folded. I do this isn't the case as it just goes to show that the pyramid base of the clubs that feed the academies of all professional club are start to demise this is a more of a problem than some think
