He did and then he knocked on 3 times and then left a HUGE hole for the last Salford try.
Can't really blame Gledhill for wanting away when he's pushed down the pecking order by this.

Yep he got pushed out, don't understand Lee kicking at all.
For the first time in yonks i wished i'd stayed at home last night and saved myself some cash.

| I didnt go last night after the woeful performance last week and after listening to the game on radio Leeds i wont be going next week against shudds. It sounded that bad i had to turn the radio off before i fell asleep, i was more entertained with Eastenders!
I realise all the problems we have faced this year, but the brand of rugby we generally play and have done for the past few seasons is just BORING! I go to a game to be entertained, i want to see us tackle hard in defence, and expansive in attack. This does not happen with Kear in charge. Why should i spend my hard earned to be bored?

This is not a trolling post, But when i saw Hickey on the bench warming up i was gobsmacked by how much he's let himself go. Last time i saw him playing for Canterbury he was huge but full of muscle, now he Looks like you picked him up from the local darts team, big gut on him muscle mass totally gone from the quads, he just looked totally ruined, i do hope he gets his shape back because i used to rate the guy, but now i would be embarrased to have him playing in my team, good luck with the rest of the season guys.

| Quote ="TURFEDOUT"No Snowie, ive been screaming for us to get rid since early 2010.
If a player doesnt want to play for the club, the supporters, coaches, board are all happy to see them go,because we want people that want to play for our club.Kear made it blatantly obvious last June that he didnt want to be at Wakefield and wanted to go to Catalan(i imagine the Catalan board breathed a huge sigh of relief that they didnt get him).Yet the same supporters seem to think its ok for Kear to stay even though he made his intentions clear.
IMHO,i cant see the players having much respect for a coach that doesnt want to be here, indeed the way they are performing on the pitch looks increasingly like they are coached by someone that doesnt give a to$$.
What would we gain by getting rid?
A new impetus.
Some attacking ideas.
Someone that wants to be here.
Some defensive structure.
It may even stop supporters not bothering to attend games - thus increasing income.
Even the most ardent Kear supporter must surely see how mind numbingly boring Kears tactics are.
Every supporter has seen Kears catalogue of selection boobs.
We are supposed to be in the entertainment business -- theres absolutely nothing remotely entertaining about our rugby - its total crap.
Yes we have an extremely limited squad that isnt good enough to grind out results with 5 drives and a kick(usually a gash kick).
So why dont we at least try to play with a bit of flair and attacking ideas,i would sooner watch us get beat trying to play some rugby than watch us get beat with the borefest style we are serving up.
But we dont play with any flair and give it a go,because we have a coach who is a dinosaur and whos coaching techniques are so far out of touch with the modern game.My lads Under 11s have more attacking flair ,set moves and better defensive structures than what Kear is coaching to his players.
And now comes the bit where you can shoot me down.
I have a season ticket and the club already have my money, but quite frankly i have no interest in watching us play whilst Kear is in charge.I have forced myself to go the last few games, but it so unbelievably boring to watch,i just cant be ar$ed anymore.I rarely attend a game expecting us to win,but im always hopeful, but i dont see any light at the end of the tunnel that our on field performance will improve or even threaten to slightly entertain whilst Kear remains.'"

"Gareth moore showed some good touches and Jarrad Hickey will be the first to admit he is out of condition but he did enough to how he can play rugby league"
FFS, if he not fit why was he in the team? Does Kear not look at his players in training? You could see when Hickey came onto the field last weeek at half time he was carrying a bit of timber. Again some decisions baffle!!
We have a coaching set up with Kear ready to leave at any opportunity and his assistant coaching Italy, now thats committment to the cause!

He was signed at the start of the year and knew he was coming here, you would think his professional pride would have made sure that he was at peak fitness and ready for the job.

that is correct. take a look at the reserves play, the majority from the gf winning team at 18s, can pass, can catch. its built into them.

| It's obvious we are the most boring team in super league, no structures in place, no dummy runners no support play. We brought in Moore and hardly gave him the ball. I'll reserve judgement in hickey, looks like he could be a handful if fit but he clearly isn't yet. However, at this moment in time gleadhill isn't the answer, he needs to bulk up and gain some experience in the championship. Seems people think because he comes from westhate he should ve an automatic first choice! Al u blamed hickey for one try, Dean (who I rate) and Johnson let in at least four and they're fit and have been playing in the side for a great deal of time longer than jarred.

To be fair he's prevented certain tries a number of times this season. An excellent cover tackler, his defence has been the one thing thats stood out ever since he broke into the first team. When he shoots out of the line he usually makes the right decision and gets man and ball.

| I said in another thread that Hickey should have played in the reserves this week to get a game under his belt first. He should also be on an intensive training regime to get him into shape but I maintain its too early to be bagging him.

I agree with this. For me Paul Johnson should have played and Hickey should have had to prove himself in the reserves. That said I thought he did ok and once he gets up to fitness I think he could be a good player for us but he needs to be given a bit of time before people start to bag him.

Have to agree with Al on this one. He may not be match fit but he has known for ages that he was coming and would be wanted to play straight away. Match fitness needs matches but general fitness and conditioning he could have been doing himself.
