Short memories a lot of these away fans. Without a kindly local council or a soccer team they'd be in the same boat as us.
I go to a game to see the action on that big green space, I couldn't give a toss about, bogs, bars, food outlets, although I will occasionally use them.

I remember a few seasons back when we played at Widnes in their 1st game back in Super League. The rest of Super League fans predicted what a poor crowd there was going to be for the seasons opener on live TV. We took about 12 bus loads + others to contribute to a fantastic crowd and atmosphere. Same turn out last year at Cas. Maybe if we get a shiney new stadium we'll become snobby and selective about where we support our team?

I absolutely hate new stadiums, they have no atmosphere and totally lack character. B V is just about fit for purpose and would benefit from a total re vamp however the old girls seen plenty of action over the years and holds many memories for me. Unfortunately she leaves her self open to criticism from most traveling fans. I'm more than happy to trundle on down to watch the Trin until an alternative that distances it's self from a full blooded new stadium can be found. I LOVE THE PLACE.

I actually agree £24 is rip off and your Stadium is definitely a dump. Obviously you lot are taking the opinions to heart. If we had Naughton Park the atmosphere would be better in the Cow sheds.



Anyway we are on the wrong side of the penines and definitely dislike each each other.

Every year since Widnes came up their fans have caused nothing but trouble and not just for us. If they want to stay away then good riddance

I would.t carry on too much if I were a Widnes fan as their playing surface is something that would be better outside a fruiterers. Would this also be the playing surface that has recently raised concerns in football about the amount of toxins present in the turf? People who live in glass houses and all that!

Have to agree there mate, I don't think I've ever decided not to go to a game because of the state of the away teams ground.
To be honest, I couldn't give a stuff about what state someone's ground is in, if my team are playing that's what I'm there to watch. If there's a roof that keeps me dry if it's raining it's a bonus, but bearing in mind that at Belle Vue I choose to stand in front of the covered area in the North Stand even if it's bucketing it down, then it is purely a bonus and not in any means a requirement.

Poor excuses not to support your team in my opinion.

We've got 9 coaches coming up on Sunday through the 'normal' coach providers, plus privately run coaches. So I'd expect around 600-800 Widnes there on Sunday.

My main gripe with Belle Vue is the view. I much prefer old grounds such as Cas, Bradford etc but Belle Vue is by far the worst of the grounds we visit. If and when the bench stand up you can't see past them regardless of where you stand on the terrace.

I dont think the ticketing prices is too bad, but the lack of student/young adult/concession is wrong in my opinion.

Can't complain about the comments regarding the ground or the pricing, I don't think. If we had ourselves a nice new stadium and we were going to play away somewhere equally as bad, I'm sure most people here would have a pop about it aswell.

Well, there's not much to be done about it to be honest at this moment in time. Sadly the club can't whip up a new stadium just for sunday. Widnes fans can whine as long as they want, at the end of the day theyll be two scenarios on Sunday - one is they'll turn up and support their team (and keep their fists to themselve) standing where they are allocated, the other is don't bother coming.

Absolute garbage all clubs have their idiots just like Wakefield. I admit some of our fans are idiots, and I have had arguments with a few of ours too. You can't tar everyone with the same brush and there will be a few going still. On these forums they attract non fans too. Last year I was at Wakefield and their was no trouble at all.

You certainly did us over on the pitch and we don't want any of that on Sunday

I don't think Widnes fans worry too much about toxins, you do know that because of the number of chemical companies in Widnes they glow orange in the dark

Regarding the price of admission,I'm afraid that's what you have to pay to keep up with Super League wages regardless of the stadium they play in,it's not rocket science

or have we to forget where we come from and support a club miles away

We've sold out of our 900 ticket allocation today with more tickets arriving this afternoon.

Should be a good travelling support coming across on Sunday.

Am i the only one excited for the match on Sunday ? love going Wakey! never had trouble off anyone even bringing my kids! stop having a go at each other we both have great fans and history lets create a great atmosphere watch a great game and enjoy the game we love! paid £21 for my ticket not a bad price! look forward to seeing you all on Sunday!! hope the idiots from both sides stay at home!
