In all fairness to SC though, lets face it we managed to scrape a win yesterday and hang on to stay SL. Lets not take anything away from the win and the effort the players put in. However in the next week or so we have got to realise the huge task for next season.
The gulf between us and the likes of HKR/Salford/Cas/Widnes etc is huge. As far as Leeds, Wigan etc, they are light years away.

My heart and mind won't be able to stand another repeat next year.

I hope he stays. He has a reputation for sorting out a club and will attract good players. Structures could be put in pace which will serve the club well for years to come.

well here's one for you how would you feel if Daryl Powell could be enticed across from the common,
I have it on good authority that with Justin doing the dirty on one of his team mates it hasn't gone down well with the coach, rumours of him moving on isn't true and he will return to play again for Cas, not an easy situation in their camp

so IF Brian is moving on would Daryl like a position here

I'd be extremely surprised if carney pulls on a Cas shirt again - forget the announcement; all it does if give everyone time & breathing space.
If, and when DP leaves it will be to a bigger club than Cas or wakey (no disrespect intended).

A club like Wakey had to bottom out eventually, MC has run a tight ship and we are still in SL.
We are stopping at BV, with a reduction in rent, the club debts are coming down.
There will always be people who make excuses not to get a season ticket or attend matches.
The interview he gave to the stadium announcer at the end, sounded like he finally understood what the fans want and is in a better position next year to deliver it.

Carney returns to the Cas club once all the games have finished. Cas say they are determined to keep him. He has just signed a long contract.

Or to put it another way, it makes sure Wigan have to pay a lot more for him than if he had been sacked or was waiting to be loaned out. It's Cas being cute, that's all.

Now let me see Cas have a problem keep Carney who has been good for them or keep Powell who has been superb for them no contest.

Are we seriously discussing Powell? Never going to happen. It's a pointless discussion.
Carney I'd do without. I think we need to build a team rather than just take cast offs again. We've only just got rid of our other dead weight.

JC has made a mistake. He is no way, shape or form a "cast off", nor is he dead weight! If he's available you'd have to be stupid not to enquire about him. Or alternatively you can keep playing Reece Lynne!!

I think we should be more concerned about Michael Carter and Brian Smith being at the club next season. MC deserves a huge thanks for keeping us solvent and keeping us up. I'll be honest, as some may have spotted, I've had plenty to say about some players and performances but I would say, looking at the evidence of the season and having met him, my feeling was he is a decent bloke; what happens to this club definitely matters to him. I understand his reticence in the sky interview regarding staying with us and I am sure these past 2 years have been a nightmare and impinged on his family life but I hope he and his family can stay with us because we have had some rubbish leading us at the top over the years and my judgement is he isn't one of them. And Smithy is a damn good coach and bloke too. I hope they read this. Stay and build something guys. Some guys have been round since 1930 watching you
