Gwaze has gone. Apparently landed a deal with a club outside SL but haven't seen an announcement

Both solid forwards. If we are to keep one, I suspect it will be Tangata. For Navarette, after Catalans and Wigan, we are probably a step-down. For Tangata, he probably regards us as a step-up. For those reasons, I imagine it would be easier to keep Tangata than Navarette.

Quote ="asmadasa"Some good video clips and background on Leivaha Pulu not that we'll be signing him...Stephen Kearney knows his stuff and rates him...
https://nzwarriors.com/threads/leivaha-pulu.56229/
On his return to Australia, Pulu caught the eye of the Titans after a strong season with the Wyong Roos, and made his NRL debut aged 25 in March, 2016. Pulu's difficult path to the top has made him more hungry to succeed, as he's all to aware of the alternative.
"It has made me more appreciative of everything, to this day," said Pulu. "It was pretty hurtful at times but you have to keep going and hopefully let the tide change.
"I was lucky enough to get a break with the Titans. I wanted to give it my best shot and if it didn't turn out, at least I knew I gave it my all. Now I've got the chance to do more."
Warriors coach Stephen Kearney is a fan, and it seems likely Pulu, who has 45 NRL games behind him, will be part of the team to face the Rabbitohs in Perth in round one. At 1.92m and 111kg, he offers power and an intimidating edge, something sorely needed in the Warriors pack.
"He's brought a lot to the team, made a strong impression," said Kearney. "He's a guy that has worked hard to get where he is now and that shows . . . he's certainly putting his hand up."'"
Now I’m convinced you’re his agent

| I'd definitely give Moa a go improvement on Green and co for sure. Ben Flower glad we escaped that one injury prone thug.

Escaped what? There is no evidence we were even remotely interested in Flowers.
Anyway if Flowers is a thug, so go on then what does that make Moa? Moa is a serial killer by comparison, let’s be serious shall we.

Knocking him out was one thing but, belting him again, whilst unconscious, was pretty shocking, especially in such a high profile game.
As for taking Hohaia out of the game, it may well have been part of the game plan, even if the "execution" went a little OTT.

I don't see it like that.
I don't think Flower realised he was out when he started throwing the second punch.
And it was Hohaia who was the aggressor. He took Flower out when there was a potential try on.
It's clearly wrong to throw a punch but because it ended badly people forget it was started by him.
I always feel its unfair when some little guy squares up to a big guy and then cries foul when he gets one back. Either stay in your weight group or live with the results.

| Problem with Casty, Moa and Flower is that they’re old (well in terms of RL age anyway).

I don't know how you can possibly defend Flower in any way for the second punch.

Agree with you to a point.....so why are we releasing Koppy then do you think? I don't mind Arona being prop, but he really isn't one is he, so just Fifita & Green as out and out props, we really need 2 to come in surely. One major criticism of Chester the last couple of seasons has been his squads, they just seem lopsided with 6 or 7 players basically vying for 2 spots, then not enough to barely cover other positions. At least with it not starting 'till March we have plenty of time to get a couple in.......hopefully

I do, in a Catalans shirt. He gives his all for that club. Just not sure he would give that level to a non-French team at his stage of his career, nor want to step out of the Catalans bubble, where he might have an off-field role lined up for when he finishes playing.

It's just how I see it.
If Hohaia hadn't been knocked out everyone would have been cheering. The media made a lot of it because they had good images.

Well I don't think Flower would have been criticised as he has been if he had left it at one punch, I think what most people found sickening was the second punch inflicted on an unconscious player. What's become apparent to me is the tolerance some people have towards this kind of violence.

Not sure that stacks up with Gene as even he didn't know how old he was. Menzies I agree and that's the nub.
Being over 32 which seems to be the approx OTT age is only a problem if either you're crocked as per Anthony Tupou or you were never any good to start with. The former is pretty obvious, the latter not so much.
If you're still fit and have played over 400 games in the NRL then that's a pretty safe signing. If you're fit and knocking on but have barely played 50 games you have to wonder.
People will argue that having only played 50 games means there is still a lot left in the tank. I'd argue that the tank was never full to start with.

Still dont get your point.
As for "images" it wouldnt have mattered the quality - what he did was indefensible - he was totally over the top.

| Sure I read Moa had signed for one of the domestic league French sides, not sure he would have strengthened Trinity he is not the player he once was and seeming to deteriorate rapidly.
Flower I think would have been great, been playing some cracking rugby this year best in a good few years. For all those having a go about his past I assume non of you cheered Terry Newton when he wore the Trinity shirt.
Casty been a great player but I worry a lot of his motivation was generated from playing for his boyhood club. Not sure that passion will be there with another club.
One thing is for sure there are a lot of clubs looking for Props at the moment so I would assume the managers of available props are in a strong position given there will no doubt be clubs competing for players signatures.
Hoping Trinity can pull a rabbit out of a hat again and get some quality in off the radars of other teams.

| I did cheer on Terry Newton in both the games that he played for us, as I supported Andy Fisher and other similar bad boys that have played for us previously and would have (reluctantly) done the same with Flower, should he have signed for us, because I support the team regardless of who the players are, but what Flower did was inexcusable IMHO and thuggery like that has no place on a rugby pitch (or anywhere else for that matter) !!
